Soon as they arrived together, all eyes landed on Forth's arm around Beam's shoulder. Everyone's eyes were wide open, dumbfounded-looking.
The sound of clearing one's throat broke the silence in the haven.
"Nong Beam," talking to Beam, the Head Hazer declared an authoritative order, "You are hereby prohibited to play melancholic music within the premises of Hazers' Haven."
Forth said confidently, "You can count on me, P'. He will never play any sort of that." Then, gave Beam a wink.
"Hey, Forth, Kong is talking to N'Beam. Why are you the one answering?" Tiew asked.
Everyone's eyes landed on Forth, then on Beam, and back to Forth again. Forth's arm was still around Beam's shoulder. Now, the hazing team was grinning from ear to ear.
Kong was happy for the both of them, but he knew that somebody was hurting. "I'm just wondering what's Forth going to do with Beam's punishment," said Kongpob trying to annoy Forth. He wouldn't let Forth having all the luck in the world.
Forth was frozen for a moment, then smirked, "I will have Beam beat all the three challenges at once before the day ends, then he will have my signature."
The Head Hazer smacked Forth's head. "Smart, ass! That's why I love you, Forth," said Kongpob before laughing out loud.
"I hate you, too, Head Hazer!" Forth said with a frown.
The hazers laughed with the exchanged of playful remarks between the two leaders.
Beam gently touched Forth's head, "Does it still hurt?"
"Not anymore, baby," said Forth while dropping a peck on Beam's forehead. Beam blushed.
"Geez, these two are annoyingly cute! I'll go get myself one. Wait, do you have a twin sister or a sibling, N'Beam," asked Ming.
Still blushing, Beam answered, "I don't have one, P'. I'm an only child."
"Too bad!"
The bantering ended when their lunch was served. After having their lunch, Forth had a talk with Beam with regards to Beam's punishment.
"We're going to kill not just two but three birds in one stone," said Forth.
"We?"
"Yes, we! We're in this together. I'm with you all the way. You trust me, right?"
"I trust you, but why don't I just take the punishment. It's just ten laps. I am a man, remember?"
"That's where you are wrong. It's not just ten laps, but ten to the power of two laps! P'Kong's number of punishment is always using the second power for us to be mindful in our acts," explained Forth with a panic voice.
Beam gulped at the thought of running a hundred laps, "What do you want me to do? I'll do it!"
"At all cost? Promise?" Forth had to make Beam promised to ensure a clean sweep, in Beam's heart, and in Campus Moon and Star Competition.
Beam nodded.
"Say the word, baby," urged Forth.
"Promise! There! Satisfied?" Beam pouted his lips.
Forth grinned, then kissed Beam in front of the hazers.
"Geez!" Prem reacted.
As if had a world of their own, Forth laid the plan, and Beam could only blush and drop his jaw.
"I don't think I can do it, Forth," Beam said hesitantly.
"Yes, you can, and you promised. Don't forget that. No man turns back on his word."
"But, I don't have a violin with me right now. The third piece that I have prepared ahead on also used a violin."
"That's not a problem," Forth took his cellphone and made a call.
Minutes later, a female student from Music Department came with a violin, and said to Forth, "If you weren't just my cousin, I would never lend you mine." Then, she faced Beam, "You're the one playing it, right? Take care of it na," when Beam nodded and uttered words of gratitude, she leaned in and kissed Beam's left cheek that made Forth burst in anger.
"Prae, what are you doing?!"
Prae smirked, "Teasing you, of course!" Then left with a shriek.
Prae was Forth's only cousin. She was a Second Year student in Faculty of Music. They knew each other's secrets and all. And she's a devil, but a talented one.
"I like her. She's kind," Beam smiled.
"No, don't! She's a devil in disguise!"
Beam gave Forth a fleeting kiss, then left with the violin in his hand.
The hazers were stunned at the boldness shown by Forth and Beam.
"Let the show begin!" shouted Forth earning him a flying kiss from Beam. Forth's happiness reflected in his eyes.
"Happy, huh?" Kongpob gave Forth a smirk.
Forth answered with eyes still on Beam's fading figure, "Very!"
After a few minutes, Secret Garden's Serenade to Spring filled the air across the entire university through its Broadcast Radio System.
All the hazers were stunned, including Forth. What he and Beam had agreed into was just at their faculty's food court!
"Is that what you ask him to do?" asked Lam surprisingly.
But, when they saw a droplet of tear from the corner of Forth's right eye, they knew that Forth hadn't had any idea at all. Their guess was confirmed by Forth.
"In the food court...that's what we have agreed on... Man, how can I be so lucky!" said Forth while wiping the tear away with a cracking voice.
When the music ended, a clearing of one's throat could be heard followed by a man's declaration of love.
"Of the four seasons, you are likely more of a spring to me. You give me hope and peace. I am contented to be with just only you. Everything else doesn't matter to me as long as you are with me. Different hues. Colorful life. Honey, that's what you have given me, and I just want you to know, that I love you, I love you, and I love you! Got that, honey?"
Meanwhile, Forth answered, "Yes, baby! Got it babe!" Forth was grinning with happiness.
Beam continued, "Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to inform everyone that I am accepting the Faculty of Engineering's proposal to be their Moon. That's all. Have a great day ahead everyone! I'm Beam Baramee, signing off."
At the Hazers' Haven, Forth took a pen and affixed his signature on his beloved boyfriend's Signature Book.
