Forever with You

Chapter 17

Beam widened his eyes upon hearing a voice that so familiar to him. He could have mistaken others' voice for someone else, but not Forth!

Beam immediately looked at the man on the stage. He was stunned to see his boyfriend in there. Why was he here? Upon remembering his lies to him, Beam started to panic.

Beam stiffened upon hearing the lyrics of the song.

“But if there is somebody that makes you feel happy,
Tends to your heart in the ways I'd been lacking,
Then who am I, who am I to stand in your way?”

Why was Forth singing that song? Beam's eyes became restless upon seeing Forth's sad eyes. Did Forth think he loved somebody else? What did Forth mean by that line? Was he giving him away?

Tears started to fall from Beam's eyes. No! Beam was shaking his head trying to tell Forth that he misunderstood everything. It wasn't what it seemed to be. It was his fault for lying to him in the first place.

“I know it sounds crazy,
But I need you to trust me.
If it's how it must be,
Then I'll fade away.”

Was Forth saying goodbye? Because Beam could tell that Forth was giving up on him.

“When it finally feels true,
Then do what you have to.
Cause I'd never blame you,
For not choosing me.”

“Idiot! There's nothing to choose from because there's no one else,” Beam mumbled in a shaky voice. He could feel his brother's hand gently stroking his back. He was comforting him.

“Down the road someone will ask me if I know you,
I'll pause for a moment, I'll smile and say that I used to.”

Beam couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't even imagine Forth treating him as a stranger. It would surely hurt like hell.

He stood up and went closer to where Forth was. Beam narrowed their gap without averting his eyes on Forth.

“I won't stand in your way.”

That snapped Beam. He cupped Forth's face with eyes full of love. Then, he kissed him passionately. And said, “I love you so much, Forth! There's no one else. Please believe me. I won't let you go! How dare you! I will kill you first before you can make a step further away from me!” threatened Beam.

Forth's eyes flooded once more with tears.

His employees were all stunned to see their boss wept. Their eyes turned to Beam. Now, they understood. Beam, though manly in his actions, had a face that could launch a thousand ships. Their boss' boyfriend was indeed beautiful. He was worth fighting for.

Beam brushed Forth's tears away gently and lovingly. “Come, I want you to meet someone.”

Beam could feel Forth's hesitation because he didn't move an inch.

“I will fuck you here if you're still having doubts on me. Don't dare me, honey,” whispered Beam in Forth's ear.

Forth gulped. Yeah, that was Beam. His Beam. Beam loved him still. He was happy.

Forth was astounded, dropped his jaw the moment P'Knot introduced himself.

“I'm Knot Ittikorn, Beam's long lost biological older brother, and your worst nightmare, N'Forth. If ever you make him cry again, I will take your life with my bare hands. Got that, Nong?“

Forth could tell that P'Knot and Beam were really siblings since they shared the same habit, threatening his life.

Forth nodded before meeting P'Knot's eyes, “I'm your worst nightmare, too, because I'm Beam's husband.”

“You're not married yet. Beam, pack your things and live with me.”

“He is not going anywhere. I. Am. His. Home.”

“I'm already his brother even before you met him”

“I found him first.”

“I was tracking him for five years! There's no way I'm going to let him go, and let alone stay with you,” shouted Knot.

“Over my dead body!” Forth yelled back.

All of a sudden, cheers both from the restaurant's employees and customers could be heard. Some cheered for Forth. Some were for Knot.

Beam was having a headache already. Both men were stubborn beyond its meaning. Both were as handful as a kid in tantrums.

Beam cleared his throat and grinned sheepishly, “P', I can't sleep without Forth by my side.”

Forth was grinning from ear to ear. “I won!”

Was the old adage ‘blood is thicker than water’ not true at all?

Knot could only sigh in defeat. His brother had already spoken. His wish was his command.

“Fine. However, Beam will have lunch with me from Mondays to Fridays. You are not allowed to touch him nor kiss him.”

Forth earned a strict brother-in-law in the person of his senior hazer. If looks could kill, he would surely be dead by then. P'Knot was giving him deathly glares.

Forth chose not to give Knot an answer. He would break it anyways. He already made a mental note to himself that he would punish Beam when they got home for lying and for torturing him for five straight fucking days.

Forth was just glad that he didn't let himself succumb to the darkness of jealousy, loneliness and suspicion.

Because if he did, he could certainly not forgive himself. He would live miserably for the rest of his life. He almost messed up his and Beam's life.

“Hey, babe,” Forth called the attention of his beloved boyfriend who was pouting due to Knot's overprotective remarks towards him. “Once we get married, you'll own this place.”

Forth smiled when Beam's face brightened up.

“Really, Forth?” asked Beam gaily.

Forth nodded with eyes still on Beam.

Beam gave him a sweet smile, and without warning, Beam kissed him in front of his brother who was now throwing dagger eyes at Forth.

Forth chose to ignore the glaring eyes of his senior hazer, and was now completely fixated on Beam, “I love you very much, baby.”

Beam kissed Forth once again, “I love you, too, honey.”

Forth wrapped his arms around Beam before giving Beam's forehead a peck.
