Forth already had enough of Beam cancelling their dates. To make things worse, he always caught Beam staring at P'Knot.

He was a reasonable guy. He knew himself. He wasn't the kind who easily got jealous over something. He trusted Beam, for heaven's sake! But, he couldn't just sit there and do nothing when he knew that something's off.

It all started five days ago. He received a text message from Beam informing him why he couldn't make it to lunch with him at the haven.

It was fine with him, but when he tried to search for Beam at the sea of students in the food court right after receiving his message, he couldn't help but to feel displeased. Beam's eyes were in the haven, but he wasn't looking at him.

Forth followed Beam's gaze, landed towards... P'Knot? What's going on? He looked at Beam once again. Beam's eyes were full of affection, longing. He was staring P'Knot for minutes. Beam didn't even look at him like that.

No, it can't be! Beam loves me so much,” Forth shook his head vigorously and tried to convince himself. He really tried, but bits of suspicions crept into Forth's inner self.

Forth smacked his own forehead for doubting Beam. He did try to forget that scene, but it always happened whenever P'Knot was around. P'Knot even gave Beam the same look.

Forth let it passed. He didn't question Beam nor P'Knot. He knew that Beam loved him.

But, today, after cancelling their previous agreement to see Beam's parents for a family talk, Forth couldn't stand it any longer. It triggered something ghastly in him, which he, himself, couldn't even imagine that he could do that... tailing Beam.

Forth was silently hoping that Beam was indeed seeing his friends for a group project in Wayo's dorm. That's the reason Beam gave him as to why he had to cancel the trip way back home.

But, when Beam pulled over his car in front of a fancy restaurant, Forth suddenly felt a throbbing pain in his chest. He clenched his fists on the steering wheel.

Beam, why did you lie to me? Who are you meeting in there that you can't even tell me?” asked Forth to Beam in his mind. Hurt was evident in his eyes.

Forth parked his car in the reserved area of the restaurant, got out of the car, and went inside through the back door. He was free to go in and out of that place because it just happened that they owned that restaurant.

Forth smiled faintly. Luck was still on his side. He could do anything he wanted. No one could stop him.

Forth was hiding behind the tinted glass window of the staff room. His eyes were searching for Beam.

Forth clenched his fist. His heart sank and shoulders drooped down upon seeing P'Knot sitting across Beam.

He was holding Beam's hands and caressing Beam's face. He saw Beam shedding tears, and smiled when P'Knot wiped those tears away.

Forth didn't notice that tears slipped out of his eyes already while staring at Beam. Happy. With another man. Did he lose Beam already? Were the hands of time telling him to bid goodbye already to the person he loved the most?

But God, why couldn't he get mad at Beam? Why did his heart still keep on beating for him?

Forth shut his eyes. He pressed on his lids, trying to squeeze the remaining drops, and pulled himself together. Sulking in a corner would not solve anything.

Forth wanted to confront Beam, but couldn't. He didn't know what to do. He didn't know what to say. He was so lost. He knew that one wrong move, everything would be over.

A song. Yeah, maybe through that, he could let Beam knew his presence and confronted him at the same time without putting a scene.

If Beam felt otherwise after hearing his thoughts, he would let him go. If at the end Beam would still choose P'Knot over him, that would be the perfect, damn time to surrender.

Since he was the owner of the restaurant, he could do anything he wanted. He composed himself and went near where the band was. He talked to them. When everything was ready, Forth held the microphone and sang his heart out. He locked his gaze where Beam was sitting.
