Chapter 13

Scarlett's POV:

I was really scared that Dad is going to be mad at me. "Hey Dad." He looked at me then looked at Phoenix's house, then back at me. "We will talk about this inside."

Damn

When we got inside, my dad sat down at the table and I sat across from him. "Umm Dad, about what you saw outside-" "Honey, I thought I told you I don't want you hanging out with him." "But Dad, he is a good kid. You need to actually talk to him-" My dad looked at the clock on the wall and said "I want him over here right now. Phoenix and I are going to have a talk. 14 year holds should not be kissing.

Wait, What?

I stared and my dad and he said "Well?"

I got my phone out and called Phoenix and asked if he can come over right now. He said "Okay?" very nervously then hung up.

My Dad and I waited for him to come.

Is he coming?

When I doorbell rang, I couldn't get up fast enough.

He mouthed "Whats going on?"

I just looked at my dad.

His eyes got wide and said "Oh Hello Mr.Rose."

"Hello Phoenix, please take a seat."

My dad was talking like it was an important business meeting or something.

Umm Okay

My Dad went right to the point "So Phoenix, are you dating Scarlett?"

Phoenix looked at me and looked back at my dad. "Yes sir." Phoenix was smiling.

Oh my cheeseballs. Why is he smiling?!

"You better not do anything to my daughter."

Then Phoenix's smile, went into a frown

"I won't sir."

I looked at them confused

What the heck is going on?!

I said "Well then, I'm going to go to bed. Goodnight Phoenix."

"Goodnight Scarlett."

I walled over to my dad and gave him a kiss on the forehead. I said "Goodnight."

Phoenix's POV:

What the hell is he talking about? I wasn't going to do anything to her! Why would he think that?!

When Scarlett went up to bed her Dad said to me "If I find out you did something bad to her....." He trailed off. "What?" I said. I was so confused. He said "Nothing. All I'm asking is that you don't do anything bad to her and with her."

"I won't. I promise."

He smiled and said "Good. Now go home. Goodnight. Nice talking to you again."

"You too. Goodnight."

I ran back to my house. I ran to my bedroom and slammed the door.

That wasn't talking. I was scared for my freaking life.

I sat on my bed for a while.

Why does he think I'm going to do something bad to the girl I love?

I looked outside my window and into Scarlett's. She was laying down on her bed. She didn't even notice me. I walked over to my window and whispered-screamed, "Hey!" But she didn't anwser.

Ohh, I'm so stupid. She's sleeping.

I laughed and went to bed too

Scarlett's POV:

When I woke up in the morning my dad, mom and Nicole were sitting at the table. They were watching me walk down the stairs. I said "So..... what's up?"

"Nothing, nothing at all." My dad said.

My dad walked over to the door and said "Well I'm off to work!"

We all yelled "Love you!" And gave him a kiss.

When he left, I asked "How come Dad looks mad at me?"

My mom looked at Nicole and Nicole nodded her head and went upstairs.

"He's just angry about you and Phoenix, he thinks he's going to do something bad to you."

"He won't so...."

Phoenix and I walked to the school in silence.

Thanks a lot DAD, for making things uncomfortable!

"Phoenix, are you mad at me?"

"No why would you think that?"

He grabbed my hand and we walked to the school.

When we got to school, he kissed me on the cheek and said "Later."

I saw that his punk friend handed him and smoking thing.

Oh no

I yelled "Phoenix!" He walked over to me and yelled "What?!"

"Stop!" I grabbed the smoke thing out of his hand, threw it on the ground and stomped on it.

"Whats wrong with you!?"

"Phoenix, I just don't want you to get hurt. Promise me you won't do it anymore."

"Okay Mom I promise."

"Hey!" I said

He laughed and walked away.
