Chapter 15

Phoenix's POV:

I waited outside for Scarlett. She normally comes out at like 7:00 so we can start walking, but today she never came out.

I texted her:

Phoenix: Hey where are you?

She didn't text back so I assumed she was sick or something.

So I walked out of her drive way and walked to school. Somebody came up behind me a yelled "Boo!" I nearly had a heart attack. "What the.... shit." It was Sophia. I said "Why the hell are you here." She looked at me in disgust "We go to the same school dummy." "But why are you talking to me. I hate-" She said "Ya ya I know you hate me. But I don't hate you. I want to go back out with you." I just turned around and walked away.

She yelled "I know you broke up with her! The whole school knows!"

I turned around fast. I want to rip her head off. And I want to kill the person, that told the while freaking school that we are not a couple.

"Tommy freaking said that! I really love her!" I said. Behind Sophia, I saw Scarlett walking towards us. She accidentally pushed past Sophia and Sophia threw a freaking fit. She screamed in her annoying high pitched voice " Watch where your going bozo! What the hell is wrong with you?! This shirt was like $75!" Scarlett walked past like she wasn't even there. Sophia was pissed "Excuse me! Talk to me when I talk to you!" Scarlett still didn't turn around so Sophia walked up to her and pushed Scarlett into me. We both fell down onto the ground.

Scarlett's face was bright red. She got up, picked up all of her books and ran away.

Shit.

I got up and walked away. I want to scream.

Scarlett's POV:

I'm actually pretty happy that Sophia pushed me into Phoenix. I wanted to give him a hug. But not like that. But then I was mad because Phoenix is still dating Sophia.

I can't wait to go home. Its almost the end of the day. The teacher is talking about crap that I don't care about. And today, I'm not really in the mood to talk to anyone. "Scarlett, do you know the anwser to this problem?" All eyes where on me. And I didn't know the anwser to the question, so that pissed me off even more.

"Does it look like I know the anwser to the problem? Is my hand raised? No."

I was pissed.

My teachers face was priceless. "Don't give me that attitude young lady." "What attitude do I have?"

I wanted to punch this lady in the face. She looked at me with evil eyes. I actually thought that an evil troll was going to rip out of her skin or something.

I looked up at the clock. The bell is going to ring in 5....4....3....2....1. The bell rings.

I think I was the first one out of my class room.

I ran out of the school. I ran as fast as I could. But then this guy grabbed me by the waist.

Not again. And definitely not today.

"Phoenix put me down."

Instead, he kept walking and walking into an ally way. I looked up into his eyes. They were green. I know where they are from. Trevor.

"What do you want Trevor?" I looked at him and spit in his face.

He whipped it off and said "I wouldn't really want to act like that if I were you." I stepped on his foot and ran away.

I ran all the way home. I didn't even stop. I looked back a couple of times and he was yelling "You should be treated better then that thing you call a boyfriend!" I ran into my house and my mom and dad were sitting at the kitchen table. I looked at my dad.

Why is he home early, he gets home at like 6. Its only 4:30.

My mom said "Do you have something to tell us young lady?"

Does she know I was being chased?

"No. You know what you did."

"Actually, I don't."

"What about your teacher?" My mom said.

Oh cheeseballs! I forgot.

I told them the whole story. But they said "Its still wrong that you did that. After dinner we are going to go to the school and talk to your principal and your teacher. And you are going to say how sorry you are about how you talked to her."

I'm not sorry at all.

"Okay."

When My mom, dad, sister and I arrived at the school, I was so nervous for some reason.

When we walked into his office, my teacher was sitting there and I sat down next to her. I said "I'm sorry for how I acted today in class." She said "Its fine." And looked away like a 6 year old. I looked at my sister and she giggled.

What I really want to say to my teacher is "The thing I don't under stand is why you picked on me infront of the whole freaking class?"

Here's the thing. In all of my classes I get A's. And all of my teachers expect me to be the nerdy girl.

Finally it ended and I went straight to bed. I walked over to my bedroom window to shut the curtains when something caught my eye. I saw Phoenix with another girl!

Why do I care?

I opened my window and said "I hate you Phoenix!" He looked up and laughing. He said "Thank you. Molly." The girl Molly got up, waved to me and walked out. "I told her to come over here to get your attention."

He started laughing. I put my elbows on the window sill. "Well you got my attention, what do you want?"

"Scarlett, Tommy text you that. Why would I want to break up with the greatest thing that ever happened to me? I'm not going out with Sophia. I love you."

Well I feel like an idiot.

"Sorry. I love you too." We smiled at each other. He said "Do you want to go back out with me?" "Yes" I said with a smile on my face.

I told him about the whole teacher insident. He was laughing the whole time. When I was done he said "Someone call the cops, we got a badass over here!" That cracked me up. I looked at the clock

11:20 pm

Holy crap!

"Oh I have to go. We can walk and talk tomorrow okay?" "Okay love you." "Goodnight, love you too."

I got into bed. I hugged the throw pillow that he gave me. My heart feels so warm right now.
