CHAPTER FIVE
Allison
"So you and my brother actually did the frickle frackle?" Allison's disgust face made Jessica cringe in embarrassment.
How can I talk in such improper language? Allison reprimanded herself internally , falsely promising to change such behavior as soon as possible.
"Allison! Someone could hear us!"
Jessica was fuming as she dragged Allison
Toward the partially deserted hallways. The distant murmur of teachers' sharing of knowledge a peaceful background sound. Last period was about to end, but there were still a good ten minutes to engage a small talk with her best friend.
It was a good thing Mr. Waters always stuttered whenever Jessica batted her eyelashes at him, granting both of them hallway pass whenever they pleased.
Allison had observed with the corner of her eye Bastian's fuming face with immense satisfaction, refraining herself from showing her best friend a thumbs up or to pat her on her back.
They decided to sit on the floor and recline against the lockers. Jessica kept gnawing silently, biting her lip with nervousness.
"So? Did you?" Allison prompted again, more forcefully this time.
Jessica closed her eyes, sighing in defeat.
"He was my first kiss. My first love, he still is. We were twelve when he kissed me for the first time. But then he changed, you know this. Avoiding me at all costs and ignoring me. He said he didn't want to encourage his feelings for me. But there's always been this flirting innuendo between us and one day, it just happened.
"About a year ago. He accepted he liked me, I always liked him. But our relationship is inconstant. A roller coaster of sentimental ups and downs. One day he is all kisses and romantic and then he isn't. I call him one day and then I ignore him a fortnight. One day I kiss him then I push him away. We are just too stubborn to settle down in a normal, healthy relationship. I think I—"
The bell rang and almost as if in a marathon, a mass of students stampeded into the hallways, desperately elbowing their ways to the exit doors.
The door beside them swung open and Bastian frowned at the sight of both them lying comfortably on the titled floor.
His dark hair carefully combed to the side.
He hadn't had a haircut for a while now, but it suited him just fine.
He squatted down in front of Jessica and smirked.
"Whose bad outfit are we discussing today?"
"Yours. I mean Converse, dark jeans, raggedy white t-shirt and a red leather jacket. Who are you, Bastian?" Allison responded in the most sassy way possible, still resenting his brother from publicly flirting with Anna Huntington.
"One of the Jonas brothers for certain." Jessica scoffed, still diverting her gaze at a distant point.
Bastian looked down at himself, wondering who the hell were the Jonas Brothers.
Sebastian Stefano Ferrer was not an admirer of public demonstrations of affection, so when he tucked a loose strand of hair behind Jessica's ear, Allison fought hard the urge of fangirling so hard.
Jessica was seemingly unaffected by such action.
Well done. Let him suffer.
"Do my princesses want me to take them to Giorgio of Gramercy? Or shopping maybe? I am at your disposal, ladies."
