ACE

I looked up as the bedroom door opened. Kade and I had been sharing a room since he had rescued me. I smiled as Kade walked into the room. He was dressed in casual clothes, jeans, and a T-shirt; the same as me.

"You ready, love?" He asked, I was being introduced to the pack. I was nervous but I trusted Kade to keep me safe.

"Ready as I'll ever be," I said walking up to him, I stood on my tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek.

"You'll do great love; all you need to do is stand there and look pretty." He winked at me while he smiled. We walked out of the room and through the house.

Walking out of the house and seeing all the people waiting to hear from us made my stomach sink. It was like there was a hole in my stomach, sucking everything out. At least I wouldn't throw up.

"Thank you all for coming today," Kade said once we were in front of everyone. Kade stood on a large tree stump, the diameter of it was about four feet. "As some of you may know, I have found my mate. He was taken for a few days, but he is back now. It is my honor to introduce Ace Anderson, my mate." He said holding a hand out to me. I took his hand, and he helped me up onto the stump.

The crowd cheered as we shared a kiss. Kade smiled down at me as we parted. I blushed and smiled back up at him. We got off the stump and walked around for a bit to talk to the pack.

Hours later we were walking up the stairs to our apartment when Kade started talking. "So, when did Aiden start calling you Daddy?"

"The first time was right after being taken. I was knocked out due to the crash and he was really worried." I said rubbing the back of my neck. "We became really close while we were there." I smiled, thinking of Aiden.

"So, if he already thinks of us as his parents, what happens when he is adopted?" Kade asked as we sat down on the couch. I hadn't thought of that. What would I do? I loved Aiden and honestly couldn't think of a life without him.

"W-what if... he's not adopted by someone else," I said slowly looking at the ground. I bit my lip; I was worried that Kade would be completely against the thought of Aiden being ours.

"You want to adopt Aiden?" There was no emotion in his voice, he sounded completely calm, I couldn't tell if he wanted to or not.

I sat up straight, looked him in the eyes, and confidently said, "Yes, I do."

For a second I was worried that I had made a mistake- that because of this Kade wouldn't want me anymore. A grin appeared on his face causing all my worry to vanish.

"Conan and I have been thinking of Aiden as our pup for a while now. Let's adopt Aiden." He grinned, "We should go tell him now! It's only three o'clock so let's go" he grabbed my hand and basically dragged me out of the house.

It only took us fifteen minutes to get to Susan's house. A minute after Kade knocked she opened with door with a sad look. Kade had mind-linked her while we were on our way, so she knew why we were there.

The three of us decided to let Aiden choose if he'd like to stay with us. Kade and I walked into the house hand in hand as Susan led us to her living room where Aiden was. He was playing with some cars on the coffee table. His eyes lit up when he saw us.

"P- Alpha! Ace!" He cheered, I smiled at him as we sat on the couch.

"Hey bud," Kade started, "We came here to talk about something alright?" Aiden nodded while Susan silently left the room to give us some privacy.

"What would you say to coming with us to live?" I asked calmly. I didn't want my emotions to sway his choice.

"Like for a little bit?" He asked confused.

"Like how you live here with Ms. Sue, but with us at our house," Kade explained.

"But what about Ms. Sue?" He asked worriedly.

"Aiden listen," I took his little hands in my own as I spoke. "We are asking you. Don't think about hurting my feelings or Kade's feelings or Ms. Sue's. You think about what Aiden wants, okay?" Aiden nodded. "Now I want you to think about this alright? Take as long as you need, we will be right here."

Aiden nodded again and walked away. He said he was going to think in his room. I looked at Kade nervously, "It'll be alright love. All that matters is that Aiden is happy. If he gets that from us, then that's great!" I nodded in agreement.

After what felt like hours but was only twenty minutes, Aiden came back into the room. He was holding his blue stuffed bunny tightly and played with one of its ears nervously.

He walked up to us and softly whispered, "I wanna live with Daddy and Papa" I grinned at him and took him into my arms causing him to giggle.
