AIDEN

There was red stuff and crying, there was a ringing in my ears that was so loud. "Mommy! Daddy!" I yelled trying to get up from my car seat, but Daddy's seat was pressing on my legs. "M-mommy help!"

I heard a groan from Mommy's seat. "Baby... Don't look." She took a deep breath and continued, "Close... close your eyes... like when we play hide and seek... don't open until... someone comes to save you."

I didn't listen, I looked at her. My eyes widened as I saw the big metal pole sticking out of Mommy's chest. "M-Mommy?" I cried

"I love you... so much... Baby.... Boy..." I quickly followed her orders and closed my eyes, the tears never stopped falling from my eyes.

"Mommy!!" I yelled jerking up from my bed. I held my legs to my chest and cried. Seconds later, Daddy and Papa came running into my room.

"Monkey. What's wrong?" Daddy asked as he made his way to my bed. I held my arms out to him, and he picked me up and sat on the bed with Papa. "Did you have a nightmare?" He ran his fingers through my hair, I nodded with a whimper and cuddled closer to him. "You wanna talk about it?" I quickly shook my head no.

"You wanna sleep in our bed tonight bud?" Papa asked while rubbing my back. I smiled softly and nodded.

Papa picked me up and took me to their bedroom as Daddy followed behind us. Papa got into bed first, then me, then Daddy. As they held me close, I whispered, "I loves you guys" and then I fell asleep.

"Aiden," a voice called, I felt something shaking my shoulder, but I tried to shake it off and go back to sleep. "Monkey. It's time to get up, today is the day." I slowly opened my eyes at that. I grinned and looked at Daddy.

"It's today!" I cheered jumping up to stand on the bed. Daddy laughed and held his arms out for me to jump into. I did and he took me back into my own room.

"We have to get dressed in our very best outfits. Do you remember what you can and can't say?" He asked as he sat me down and started looking through my clothes.

"I can't say stuff about wolves, but I can say everything else." Daddy nodded at my answer.

"Aiden, What do you like about living with Ace and Kade?" the nice lady asked, we were in a room full of toys and were playing with blocks. We had been playing for a while and this was her millionth question.

"It's great!!" I cheered smiling widely "Daddy makes the yummiest pancakes and Papa knows so much about superheroes. They are really nice and always tuck me in. T-they're just like Mommy and Daddy." I got sad and looked down. I didn't want to play with the blocks anymore.

The nice lady smiled softly and said, "how about we go talk with Ace and Kade?" I nodded softly and took the hand she held out to me. I sniffled while walking up to Papa and Daddy causing Daddy to freak out.

"Monkey, are you okay? What happened?" He asked scooping me into his arms once I was close enough. I didn't reply, only snuggled into his shirt. Daddy smelled nice; it always made me feel better, just like Mommy's smell.

The nice lady tried to explain but I whispered, "I-i miss my mommy," I brought my head out from Daddy's shirt and looked at them. "I'm sorry, I loves you guys. You're my Papa and Daddy. Nice lady was asking me questions and I thoughta Mommy."

"Oh, baby you don't have to say sorry. It's okay to miss your mommy, there's nothing wrong with that."

Daddy and I kept talking while Papa and the nice lady went a few feet away to talk. When they came back Papa was smiling really big.

The nice lady smiled and started to talk to us. "It seems like everything is in order. I will contact you when a court date is set, you are well on your way to adopting Aiden. Congratulations Alphas."

My eyes widen, "She knows about wolves?" I asked.

"We didn't know who you would be talking to but, yes, she does. She is in our pack." Papa answered as we walked out of the building.
