ACE

The check-up went without a hitch, but we had to wait to see what the pills were for. They didn't have the equipment needed so they sent it to a different doctor.

I nervously walked into the apartment with Kade following behind me. I had kissed him in the exam room, what had I been thinking?!

"I have a few other things I'd like to talk to you about so why don't you start?" He said sitting on the couch.

I took a shaky breath and nodded. I sat down on the other side of the couch. "W-well when you first came to school, I f-felt very attracted to you. I thought it was just a small crush. But A-after I moved in my feelings for you grew and grew. I really like you, Kade." I couldn't look at Kade as I finished so I looked at my lap.

"I knew from the moment I saw you that you were special." Kade began. "You make my heart flutter just by doing to simplest things. We could be in a room with a giant and you would still hold my full attention." I hadn't noticed that he had been scooting closer to me. "You are an amazing person, Ace, and I truly hope that my being older won't influence your answer when I ask you. Would you like to be my boyfriend?"

It felt like my heart stopped beating, I was in shock. "Y-you'd really have me?" I asked turning to face him slowly. He leaned forward and kissed my forehead.

"The real question is would you have me?" He asked, all I could do was nod. He smiled at me and kissed my forehead again. "Now that that is done, I have something that I need to tell you. It's very important so I need you to listen to everything." His words left no room for argument, so I nodded.

"I didn't realize I'd be in class so late in the day." I joked but stayed quiet once he started talking.

"Do you remember on our date when you talked about reading werewolf stories?" He asked, I nodded, and he continued. "I'm a werewolf and you are my mate. This is my pack, The Dark Water Pack. everyone you've met here is a werewolf."

"Could you show me your wolf?" I asked excitedly. Kade nodded and took a few steps toward the door. He turned around and held his hand out to me with a smile. I took his hand without hesitation.

He led me down the stairs and out of the house to the backyard. I smiled at the children that were playing in the trees closest to the house. Kade let go of my hand but continued walking for about 3 more yards.

He faced me and began to take off his clothes, I blushed and looked at the ground. "Ace you need to look." He said calmly, I took a deep breath and look at him, he had taken everything off but his boxers. He was already drop-dead gorgeous with his clothes on. But with them off he could bring a zombie back to life with just a look. His short, dark brown hair was sticking to his forehead from his nervous sweating. His green eyes stared at me with all the love he could muster like he was begging me to stay with him and not freak out.

I stopped thinking when the sound of Kade's bones cracking and breaking met my ears. My eyes widened and I cringed as I watched Kade's bones break and shift under his skin and change their structure into that of a wolf.

His wolf was dark brown, with speckles of light brown. His green eyes were even more vibrant compared to his human ones. He was beautiful. Kade slowly made his way over to me, trying to make himself small by crawling on his stomach.

I slowly reached my hand out to him; he lifted his head to touch my hand causing me to gasp. His fur was soft as I ran it through my fingers. I rubbed my hand down his face and poked his nose. He shook his head causing me to giggle.

"Change back so I can give you a hug." I smiled down at him as he began to wag his tail.

I winced at the bone-breaking and shifting but jumped into his arms.

"You're amazing." I beamed at him as he smiled down at me.
