ACE
"Baby, please wake up. I need you here with me, I can't live without you." I frowned at the sound of Kade's desperate voice and look around. It was pitch black with nothing in sight.
"Kade? I-I'm right here! Where are you?" I called out into the darkness.
"They say that you're gone but I know that you'd never leave me. Or Aiden. Just open your eyes baby."
Tears started to flood my eyes as I looked around desperate to stop the sorrow in Kade's voice. My body began to jerk as I sobbed harder and curled into a ball on the floor.
My eyes sprung open as I looked around the familiar room that belonged to me and Kade. I rolled over and looked at Kade, who was still peacefully sleeping, with dreamy eyes. That was a weird dream. Alvy voiced in my head.
I know, what could it mean? We're going to see Aeson today. I sighed and kissed Kade on the cheek before getting out of bed. There's no way that that was a normal dream.
After getting dressed, a cup of coffee, and checking on Aiden, I headed out to the little makeshift pack hospital. Walking around without Kade to hide behind was weird. People were waving and smiling at me.
"Luna! Luna!" I turned at the call to see three little children running toward me. Two looked to be about 4 and the third was 5 or 6. The older one of the group made it to me first and spoke with a slight lisp due to missing two front teeth. "We made you these, please wear them, Luna?" The children all looked up at me with such hope, I kneeled so they could put the items on me.
The oldest one put on a necklace made of flowers. One 4-year-old put a flower crown on me while the other, who seemed very shy, carefully placed a ring in my hand. I smiled at him and said, "Thank you little ones. I will wear these beautiful gifts with pride." They giggled loudly and tackled me in a big group hug.
"Thank you, Luna. We love you, Luna!" The oldest said causing me to smile down at the three of them.
Before the three ran off, I gave each of them a kiss on the head. "Run along now little ones." They all ran away yelling at their parents who had worried looks on their faces as if their kids had offended me. I smiled and waved at them before continuing my journey to the hospital.
I knocked on Aeson's office door once I found my way to it. "Come in," He called from behind the door. "Well, if it isn't Luna. To what do I owe the pleasure of being in your presence?" He spoke in a teasing tone. As if being called Luna would upset me.
"You don't need to tease me. I love my title and will wear it with pride." I snapped at him. I took a seat in one of the chairs in front of his desk and sighed, "I had a weird dream last night and I was wondering if there's anyone in the pack that could help me figure it out. Could you help me, please?"
"Well, luckily for you, my mate specializes in psychology so they would be able to help you out." He paused and his eyes glazed over, meaning he was calling his mate. After a moment the was back and continued talking, "Have you told Kade about this dream?"
"No, he was still asleep when I left this morning. I didn't even tell him where I was going." I sighed, "now that I think of it, that wasn't the best idea."
"You called for me, my love?" I looked at the door to see a person with a small build. They had a flat chest, a small waist, and broad shoulders. They had white hair and heterochromatic eyes, one blue and the other a gray hazel color.
"Diara, my sweet, yes. This is Ace, Kade's mate, and Luna. We were wondering if you'd be able to help figure out a dream he had?" Aeson said, his rough, mean exterior melted away, showing a soft, warm interior that was only shown to his mate.
