I woke up to a familiar voice somehow chanting a spell based on what I'm hearing. 'Let this man be healed, with your name, almighty spirits, I ask you to help me help this young man.' she says.
The time finally came when I opened my eyes. And to my surprise, I saw Emilia-san with a..... Floating cat??
"Oh! You're finally awake! How are you feeling?" she asked, relieved to see me all well when I sat up on the bed.
"Ah. I'm fine, Emilia-san, thank you." I politely replied.
"Hm? How do you know lia's name?" asked the floating cat.
"Ha--AHH!!" I screamed in shock. "It talks?!"
"Oh, say hi, Puck. This is a friend of Subaru. Y/N-kun.... Is it? Meet Puck, this grey and white floating cat over here." she introduced me to Puck and vice versa.
"oh... Uh... Hi....?" I said shyly, rather, nervous of what it would do to me if I ever answer the unexpected reply it wants.
"Hm~ No need to be uneasy around me, lad! I'm a good friend. If it's my comrades' friends, then they are my friends too! HOHO" Puck said reassuringly, deepening his voice for humor.
"I see that my husband introduced me to you, Y/N-kun." Emilia-san said.
"oh.. Uh, yes. Indeed... Where are we??" I asked, scratching my head.
"oh! We are at our mansion!" Puck said as he clapped his hands for what I believe, is sound effects. "Would you like to walk around?" he added as an offer.
"Puck, we shouldn't--"
"I'd love to!!!" I unconciously cutted Emilia-san off her sentence midway. I immediately bowed my head as soon as I noticed what I just did. As a reply, I heard her chuckle at me as I rose my head up to look at her.
"You are so much like Subaru... Now I know why you two look so related.. And why you two are bestfriends." she beamed a smile at me.
"o...oh.... ANYWAYS! I'm so excited to explore this mansion!!~" I stood up from the bed, and walked towards the door. "After you, madamoiselle ^•^" I said cheerfully.
"Ok~~~ Now, where would you like to go?" she asked.
I reached my hands on the night stand over the right side of the bed I slept at to get my glasses. After wiping the lenses, I wore them, although my eyesight didn't improve the moment I used them. My eyes aren't that bad in the first place. It just helps my eyes to not get tired after using it for a long time. Now that I think about it, I looked out the window, and saw a spacious field. The scenery is beautiful, so is the weather. The sun shining so brightly at God's creation, and the morning breeze dancing with the leaves and grasses so cheerfully.
"I want to go outside please!!" I gave her a big smile, showing my teeth as I closed my eyes from too much smiling.
"As you wish! Y/N-kun!!" they saluted, both Puck and Emilia-san.
It's so much fun having them around me. I feel like we are close just from talking about any random things we can think about as we walked down the hall, and outside of the manor.
Morning wind traveled past me, making my h/c hair messy as some of the strands stood up.
"AHAHAHA! WOKE UP LIKE THIS~~ HAHAHA" Puck said mockingly, though it sounded as a joke. I laughed with him, along with the silver-haired lady.
After walking through some of the halls beside the garden, we came to a stop once we heard metals slashing through each other, it sounded like a training is being held at this place.

"Ah, Y/N-kun, please meet my twins" she said happily as if she certainly knows whom are those using blades in a practice for a battlefield. She then led me inside the open room, and to my surprise, I saw two children playing with swords, one is familiar to me. "Uh... Isn't that dangerous??" I hesitantly asked.
"oh, rest assured, it doesn't cut through human flesh as long as they don't need to. Their blades doesn't work without magic also. Back then, I was quite shocked too, but they're already 8 years old and they've been doing this since 6, so... I've kind of got used to it." she said although worriful emotions of a mother washed through her face.
"oh." I just said in reply as I watched the children play happily with themselves, not even noticing us.
"Hey, kids!! Come play with me!!" Puck said, making the two drop their blades and jump to their so-called uncle.
"PUCK-OJIISAN!!" they both said cheerfully, though the little girl had a much quieter voice than the familiar boy.
"hello!" I greeted them once they looked at me in confusion after playing a bit with the floating cat. I started to introduce myself. "I'm Y/N Y/S. Nice to meet you two!"
"huh? But we didn't say 'nice to meet you' yet. What's with him, mommy?" the little girl looked back to her mom as she finished her sentence.
"Yeah, mum. What's this old geezer going on about?" the boy added.
Ugh. These little brats... HOW COME THEY TWO HAVE SPLIT PERSONALITIES?! And the first time I met James, he isn't even like this!! Even towards puck!
"uh. I mean, it's nice to meet you two. T-W-O. Get it?"
"ohh~~~ ok." they both understood.
"I'm James." (pronounced as je-ims)
"and I'm Jamie." (pronounced as jay-me)
"Nice to meet you too!" they both said back to me.
Oh. There it is again. These angelic-like eyes. How deceiving.
A moment passed, and now I remembered something I have nearly forgotten. ".... Emilia-san... Do you, by any chance, live with a blonde girl here that has a library as her room?"
