Awkward... So damn awkward. I stared from Chris to Alex and back to my plate. Why was Alex here again? Ah, right, he never told me. I opened my mouth to ask but Chris beat me to it.

“Why were you waiting for us?” Chris’s tone was cold and I felt like he wanted to stab Alex’s face with the fork. Alex forced a smile and stabbed the piece of meat that Chris had served him.

“I thought we agreed to be fair.” Chris scoffed and ate some of his mash potato.

“What did you agree to be fai-“ I didn’t even get to finish my question before both of them interrupted.

“Nothing!” Now they’re synchronized, awesome… I cleared my throat as they continued to glare at each other and I took a sip of my ginger Ale.

“Well I should head home it’s getting pretty late.” I got up and both of the got up at the same scaring me a little. Something was seriously going on and it was making me uncomfortable.

“I’ll take you home.” They both said at the same time, again.

“O-oh n-no its fine.” Now I was stuttering like a dumbass. Alex was grinding his teeth so loud I could hear it, so it was as if I had said nothing.

“I’m leaving anyways so no need for you to leave your ugly house.” I chocked at the outrageous remark Alex made. The house was beautiful! If he thought this was ugly what did he think of my house?! I didn’t want to agree with the bastard, but he was right there was no need for me to tire out Chris.

“He’s right Chris I’ll just go with him.” I smiled hopping to reassure him and he sighed making me give him a hug and wave goodbye as I walked out. My house wasn’t that far from Chris’s but it sure felt like two different worlds. Alex stopped the car in front of my house and when I was about to get out he grabbed my arm stopping me in track.

“Wait, I have something to give you.” I looked at Alex confused, what could he possibly want to give me. He leaned to the back seat and handed me two grocery bags. What the…

“I’m sorry I kinda ate all of your bacon and eggs, oh and toast.” I looked inside the bags and there was exactly that plus a gallon of milk, the blue one 2%, the one I liked.

“You ate my food and made me starve.” It was a statement that sounded so dumb and dead I didn’t even know why I said it. Alex blushed looking away.

“Y-yeah well this is me paying you back.” Blushing and stuttering? Wow.

“Thanks I guess, saved me from going shopping.” I laughed then opened my eyes to meet his cold gaze making me shiver.

“Don’t trust Chris.” He leaned over and opened my door as I pushed myself out. I felt Alex’s stare on my back till I was on the doorsteps of my house then turned around and waved goodbye to him as he drove away. Don’t trust Chris? I laughed mockingly as I banged my head against the door with my whole body slumping down. You gotta be kidding me. I can’t trust any of you, yet here I am, going out on dates and almost kissing you people. It took everything inside of me to straighten my body up and pinch in the code so I can get in.

“I’m home!” I yelled to practically no one. I walked to the fridge setting everything in place. I have my breakfast for tomorrow, I shouldn’t have a care in the world, but oh how I wish that were true. My phone vibrated again for the third time today and I was about to throw it in the sink. But went against it instead turning it on. I saw two messages one from Chris and another from an unknown number. I decided to open the unknown number first.
