Chapter 8: A Forgotten Memory

~Narrator~

Igneel walked up to Natsu, his big wings bouncing with every step he took. "Natsu," Natsu looked up at the red dragon. "Yes Igneel?" "I want to tell you something." Natsu did his grin. "When you are older, you will meet a girl. This girl is a goddess but she didn't know. And you will fall in love with her."

Natsu listened the entire time. "But what if I don't want to fall in love?" The pinkette asked with a frown. Igneel ruffled his pink locks and chuckled. "You'll find out sooner or later that you will." Natsu crossed his arms over his chest and pouted his lip.

This is a memory that Natsu had long forgotten. He will never remember this memory. This was one of the most important things Igneel had ever told him.

~Natsu~

I woke up and went to the guild with Happy. I hadn't gone on a mission in a while and walked up to Gray, Erza, Lucy, and Yuki. "Can Yuki join the team?" Lucy asked. I did my signature grin. "Sure. Do you guys wanna go on a mission?" "Aye!" Happy said with a paw pumped in the air. "Sure." "Can I pick it?" Yuki asked.

I nodded. She walked over to the request board and came back. "I found one. It pays 1,000,000 jewel to defeat a bunch of monsters in a town called Zanderston." I put a hand on her shoulder. "We'll go to this one." Lucy snatched the paper. "1,000,000 jewel!? I could use about 1,000 jewel for rent right now." Erza had already packed her huge thing of luggage. Everyone sweat dropped.

"Let's go." She said as the team walked to the train station. I looked nervously at Yuki. "How long is the train ride?" She looked at the paper before her brows raised and she looked nervously at me. "Uuummmm, 10 hours." I started groaning. "Nooooooo." "Erza, could you knock him out already?" Gray grumbled. Erza nodded and then everything was black.

~Erza~

We walked onto the train and I sat next to Lucy and Gray while Yuki, her bunny Hopper, Natsu, and Happy sat next to eachother. Yuki let Natsu lie his head on her lap while she played with the ends of her scarf. They would be cute together. I smiled. Then I noticed her fall asleep, along with Hopper and Happy. "Guys," I looked over at Lucy along with Gray. "Can you keep a secret?"

I looked at Gray and we both nodded. "Yes." Gray said. She shuffled in her seat a little and blush covered her cheeks. "Does someone like the flame brain?" Gray teased. I snickered. She shook her head like crazy. "Hell no! I- I like someone else." I raised a brow. "Then who do you like?" I asked. She blushed and looked down at her hands.

"Um.......Freed." What she said was almost a whisper. Neither me nor Gray could hear her. "What was that?" Gray asked. "I said Freed!" She yelled. Me and Gray both froze. She liked Freed!? I slowly smiled. I heard Gray laugh and Lucy grew a tick mark on her forehead. "What's so funny about this!? I like a gay guy!"

He quit laughing. "Oh, sorry." Lucy put her head in her hands. "What am I supposed to do guys?" Her voice was muffled. I let out a dry laugh and put a hand on her shoulder. "When we get back, you can tell him." She looked up and nodded, a now determined expression.

I smiled but we heard Gray laughing. "I don't know if he likes you though. He seems to be attached to Laxus like how Juvia is with me." Lucy shrugged. "It's not that bad to try." We nodded in agreement. We heard a groan and saw Natsu move a little. Yuki somehow got into a position to where she was lying next to him and he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her close.

"Ha, they're so going to be together." Gray muffled laughs. I just smiled. I saw Yuki's scarf fall to the ground along with Natsu's. Lucy picked them up and sat them on her lap. "How do you know who's is who's?" I asked. She picked them up and held one in each hand.

Lucy pointed to a rip on the one in her right hand. "Yuki's has a rip and Natsu's doesn't." I nodded and felt Gray lean against my right shoulder. He had fallen asleep. I smiled and looked at Lucy as she folded the scarves again. "Lucy, I'm pretty sure that Freed likes you too. He seemed to look at you like crazy when you joined Fairy Tail." Her brows raised. "Really!?"

She smiled and glimpsed at Yuki and Natsu. "Yuki's special. I can feel it." I nodded. "She has that sorta aura." I added. We looked out the window at the trees passing by.
