"alright. bye." I said then ended the call.
"hey" alex said as she got into the car
"hey. you look pretty"
"thanks.." she said, heat rising to her cheeks. "so where r we going" she asked
"we are going to not urth because that is way too basic for me. we're going to The Hart And The Hunter."
"where's that i've never heard of it?"
"it's on melrose but it's kinda hidden because it doesn't look like a food place."
"ohh ok it's close which is good because I am hungryy"
"samee" I said as I started driving
"imma connect my phone because I have better music than you" alex says as she connects her phone to my car speakers.
The song Better Now by Post Malone starts to play.
"YOU PROBABLY THINK THAT YOU ARE BETTER NOW. BETTER NOW. U ONLY SAY THAT CAUSE IM NOT AROUND NOT AROUND. U KNO I NEVER MEANT TO LET U DOWN. LET U DOWN. WOULDA GAVE U EVERYTHING..." alex and i yelled, jamming to the song on the rest of the ride to the restaurant.
We arrived at the place. "ohh this place i always see the outside of it but i never knew they served food here. it looks so
industrial" she said
"yea u wouldn't expect a building like this to serve food." I say as we walked inside the restaurant.
"Hi welcome to The Hart And The Hunter. How many people are in your party?" the waitress asked as she leaned over the desk, revealing her cleavage
"just two" I replied.
"okay follow me" the waitress said as she winked at me and grabbed two menus.
She brought us to our table and we both sat down.
"what are you gonna get" I ask alex
"uhm I kinda want crepes."
"oo I think i'm gonna get the chicken n waffles" I say
"wait they have chicken and waffles?? where?.
omg I want that instead. I want chicken n waffles" she says excitedly
"okay we're both getting chicken n waffles" I say chuckling, while looking at her. taking in her beauty.
"why are u looking at me like that?" she asks awkwardly
"you are so beautiful." I blurted out
"...thank you"she says blushing
"have you decided what you wanted" the waitress asks as she comes to our table, facing directly towards me. I know she's trying to flirt but i'm trying to impress alex, not her.
"yes. two chicken and waffles please" alex says, making the waitress look at her annoyed.
"you're gonna eat both of them? you seem like you eat enough already anyways" the waitress says laughing.
"would that be a problem? it's just food. who cares if she wants to eat two or one. she could eat twenty and she would still be beautiful. she's pregnant you know and we're the customers so i suggest you stop speaking to her like that and stop flirting with me." I say interrupting her giggling, grabbing alex's hand.
The waitress writes down the order and shows a fake smile and walks away. you can tell she was pissed.
"you know I could've handled that myself..." alex says once the waitress is gone.
"I know, but i'm here too. I didn't like her talking to you like that" I say
"thanks you didn't have to"
"I mean i want to protect you. you are my baby mama and possibly future interest" I say
"what do you mean future interest"
"you know, when I make you fall for me"
"yea right" she says laughing
"just wait"
"k so what are we doing now? you said we had a surprise or something" alex says as we leave the restaurant.
"you'll see when we get there"
"why are we at a carter's? isn't that a baby place" she asks
"yep"
"what r you planning"
"we should start preparing and buy some baby stuff."
"now? isn't it too early"
"it's never too early mama"
"is this a new nickname I hear" she says laughs
"yep. mama"
"lol ok" she says
We walk into the store and we are greeted with racks on racks of baby clothes and supplies.
"what should we look for" she asks
"um. not sure. how bout clothes"
"ok. if we find a lot of cute baby clothes we can only buy two for now. One for a boy and one for a girl since we don't kno which one it'll be"
"I think it's gonna be a girl I just have a feeling"
"uhh ok. I want it to be a boy. so that the boy can look out for the younger sister and like take care of and protect them." she says
"you're already thinking about baby number two? we haven't even had baby number one yet mama" I say laughing
"well not yet, but i'm just saying that's what I want. two kids , a boy and a girl. or possibly maybe three kids."
"bro ur the one who always says we ain't dating and now u want more kids? " I say jokingly
"I know we ain't! i'm just saying that's what I want with whoever I marry."
We decided on a cute yellow dress for a girl and blue overalls for a boy.
ALEX
On the way home, we started brainstorming ideas on how to tell everyone about the baby.
"what about the classic just hand them the pregnancy test" he asks
"too boring. what if we all have a game night. We play pictionary. you and I on one team and grayson and chloe on another. Near the end of the game when it's our turn we could do one for i'm pregnant?" I ask
"that's good. I like it"
"k so when should we plan that."
"tomorrow?"
"ok i'll make sure chloe and I are free and u make sure grayson is free so we can all be there together"
