Clint raised an eyebrow when he saw Steve Rogers aka Captain America worlds best golden boy walk in late. He was trailing behind Bucky. Thankfully Nick hadn't arrived yet so they were all good for now.

"Hey Nat, what's up with Steve?" He leant across to whisper to her and she smirked like there was an inside joke.
"No idea." Clint frowned at her suspiciously. Steve nodded his head at Clint in acknowledgement but wasn't able to meet Natasha's eyes.
"Am I missing something?" He questioned. Natasha snorted but quickly subdued it and Barnes lifted the corner of his mouth.
"No nothing at all Clint."
"Fine don't tell me, I'll just get Tony to access the security feed." Both former Russians sat up in alarm. Natasha was quick to deal with the situation.
"FRIDAY delete all and any footage of this morning and other previous incidents."
"Already done agent Romanoff."
"Aww, not fair. Tell me, please." He looked at Natasha imploringly. "Remember our code." She sighed.

"Fine. This morning in the gym Barnes and I were testing our training against each other." That in itself was unusual, Barnes didn't like sparring against anybody incase he turned winter soldier mode, but Clint continued to listen none the less. "It was getting really intense," Steve humphed and then winced as Nat delivered a swift kick to his shins. "Please let me continue. Anyway, it was really hot and we were sweating so I removed my top and so did Barnes just like we've done a thousand times Clint. Steve just happens to walk in when we've pinned each other. He comes to the wrong conclusion and bingo! He's squeamish about naughty things."
"Oh don't we know." Clint raised an eyebrow at Bucky's comment.
"So there, happy Barton?" He nodded his head and just stared at them. The silence stretched between them and began to get awkward when Fury walked in.

"Agents Barton and Romanoff it's a code Snake Lair, situation blue, protocol 54. Get your asses moving, I expect you to fill in the rookies on the way. Everything you need is in the bird wheels up in five." He then left. Natasha and Clint immediately rose and strode down the corridor towards the hangar.
"Is it just me or is it weird how in sync they are?" Steve questioned Bucky. They reached the hangar and headed into the nearest quinjet. Natasha sat in the pilots seat and Clint in co pilot. The jet rose before the door had even finished closing.

Natasha flicked the switch for auto pilot and then her and Clint went and joined the others in the back. The jet was bigger than the average one to make room for the black jeep and old Harley Davidson motor cycle. She ran a finger over the worn leather seat. "Doesn't she remind you of Lottie." Lottie was the bike she used to own when she was out in the field with Clint and Coulson, way before she became an avenger. He shook his head.
"She looks nothing like Lottie."
"Lottie, Lola and Leipzig." The holy trinity of vehicles. Natasha's bike, Coulson's car and Barton's tractor. Unfortunately Lottie was destroyed by Ultron, Lola went MIA and Leipzig was collecting dust in one of Clint's barns. No one in SHIELD is really sure how and when Clint got a tractor. Most suspected it was part of the top secret Budapest mission.

The two super soldiers just exchanged glances. They picked up the files and read about their mission. Turns out they have to infiltrate a Hydra base, collect the info and blow it to hell. Seems simple enough. Natasha and Clint thought otherwise. "Our last mission like this landed me in hospital for a week." Bucky remembered Natalia telling him about Alexei.
"So we should double up. That way we can make sure our partners get out." Natalia still looked doubtful. "I'll go with Nat and Steve and Clint can go together."

Clint looked slightly betrayed. "Nat and I are mission partners. It's nothing we haven't done before."
"Last time I seemed to remember she was the one injured, I think you failed there." Clint clenched his fist and Natasha was looking at Bucky in horror.
"Bucky, Clint, stand down, I think it's a good idea. This way we have a super soldier and an assassin on both teams." Steve took over as captain.
"If you two ride in the jeep and Barnes and I take the bike we can rendezvous by the jet using our comms. Luckily the officials of the base use comms to communicate with the sentries so we should slip in undetected. If I drive around the back and you two take the front we can secure the info from the two main data points whilst securing the bombs."
"Woah woah woah, you're driving the bike. What about me?" Bucky raised his hands in protest.
"You'll be on the back."
"Are you sure you can handle it?"
"Why don't you come over here and find out?" She challenged. Steve tried to intervene.
"It's quite a powerful beast."
"And it's not like I've ever ridden one of them before." She stared pointedly at him and Steve was as red as a tomato, even Bucky turned a cherry colour. Clint was just laughing his head off and wiping tears from his eyes.

"I think that's enough Nat." Steve coughed awkwardly. "How about Clint and I take the bike and you and Buck get the jeep?"
"I don't think -"
"Let me rephrase that, Clint and I WILL take the bike and you and Buck WILL take the jeep. Captains orders."

She grumbled reluctantly before going and lying down on the bench. "We've got a few hours before we arrive, might as well get some shut eye."

When they did arrive the sun was just appearing on the horizon. The sky was ranging from shades of pink, orange and blue. Clint cloaked the device before setting it down gently. The ramp lowered and Natasha wrapped a blue ribbon round an inconspicuous rock a few feet away. She then slipped in the drivers seat and started up the vehicle. Clint was whining about having to wrap his arms around Steve's waist on the bike but then when he realised it also made Steve uncomfortable he started aggressively flirting and dropping hints and rude innuendos. Poor Steve was not having a good day, he started up the motorcycle and then they were off. James went and sat in shotgun.

"How come you never let me drive?" James asked in curiosity.
"Because you're a little too reckless." Natasha answered.
"That never seemed to stop you from letting me steer the wheel."James smirked.
"Oh honey, I never let you steer. I only let you think so."
James laughed. "You're the only one that I give the wheel to doll."
"There are others?" She teased.
"You know that's not what I mean."

"Um guys you know you left the comms on right?"
"Yeah and you owe me an explanation Nat, oh and you have to swear by the secrecy of Budapest."
"Copy that Barton. I'll tell you everything later, I swear on the secrecy of Budapest, but for now we have a mission so let's stay focused."
"Hypocrite." She heard Clint mumble.

A/N Another one done, sorry for the delay. I did steal a bit of dialogue from winterwidxw's eternal winter and that right there should be proof enough that it's a fantastic book well worth the read.
Fun Fact: I'm kind of running out so questions? Opinions? Whatever, comment below.
Have a good day (or night depending on where you are) :)
