[.........]
Confusion is evident in Ye Gui Feng's eyes as he suffers from a sense of lightheadedness. He felt as if he had just been rudely awakened from his dreams but rather quickly he adjusts to the present situation.
[...]
In Ye Gui Feng's current state the world has never been clearer to him. Without deploying any kind of method or expending any kind of effort he can see the natural flows of spirit energy.
The form of spirit energy resembles a series of branching rivers that are constantly moving.
At times these streams of spirit energy might intersect and merge into one, but they would eventually separate at random in the manners of two individuals going their separate ways after journeying together for a brief period.
Although spirit energy is generally invisible to the eyes of an ordinary practitioner they have always been present as a part of the natural environment. Their very existence seems to be a type of fundamental law that cannot be altered for it felt as if not even the hands of an Original Monarch is capable of erasing these ever-flowing streams of energy.
Amongst the myriad streams of spirit energy there is one in particular that is different from the rest.
This one stream of energy is as red as blood and following this stream Ye Gui Feng looks into the distance.
[...]
The gaze that Ye Gui Feng is using is difficult to describe but this gaze can seemingly pierce worlds to look upon whatever it is that lies in the great beyond that's far from the reaches of a human practitioner.
[...]
Within the beyond Ye Gui Feng sees a world that is filled with sutra like scriptures. At the center of this world stands five towering pillars with spiraling patterns carved onto their surface.
Continuing to follow this red stream of spirit energy Ye Gui Feng eventually connects it to a very specific wall of writing that is floating in the air.
As a new line of text is being added to this wall of writing it gives off a fiery red glow causing the invisible hand that is editing it to pause.
[...]
A bizarre feeling wells up in Ye Gui Feng's heart as he looks upon the wall of scriptures that is written in an extinct language.
Despite not having been taught of this language or have had any sort of contact with it in the past Ye Gui Feng can somehow read it fluently. The details that these complex characters make up highlights the major events of his life up until just recently.
(Did it truly...? Reach them...?)
A wild idea sprouts in Ye Gui Feng's head in the same instance. That attack that is reinforced by the forces of his will and pseudo spirit energy had seemingly reached the entity that is deserving of his anger somehow.
[Hm?]
Just as Ye Gui Feng is mulling this idea over something within this world catches his attention.
As a tremor shakes the entirety of this world the central pillars twitched causing cracks to form on their bodies.
Chips and pieces of the pillars' outer layers fell to reveal a material that possessed the textures of an ancient tree.
Having a full view of this event Ye Gui Feng can't help but widen his eyes.
These supposed pillars are actually the fingers and thumb of an unknown entity.
It didn't take long for the outer layer of dust that's been covering the fingers for eons to break off and with most of the dust removed an incomplete hand that's been burnt is revealed.
In the same instance the scripture from before transforms into a blood red sword that uses a single flash's worth of time to appear before the index finger of the incomplete hand and stabs onto its center.
All that Ye Gui Feng can do is witness this event so there's no possible way for him to have heard the shrill scream that came from the invisible entity that's been wounded by the blade.
However, the disturbing event that occurs next is something that causes Ye Gui Feng's sense of astonishment to vanish as a frown of disdain appears on his face.
The incomplete hand had gathered the scattered scriptures and molded them together into the shape of a human body before reducing itself into a pool of blood that spirals down to devour the frame it had just created.
Witnessing the disturbing mass of blood turning itself into flesh and ultimately taking on the form of a beautiful woman a light of coldness flashes from Ye Gui Feng's eyes. Although he didn't know the identity of this person this kind of feat is surely not possible for a common practitioner to perform.
Whoever this person is they are no doubt an Original Monarch and seeing the changes in their expression that starts off with viciousness to ultimately end with a face of sinister intent a strange sense of premonition manifests in Ye Gui Feng's heart.
[...]
Having witness the revival of another monarch Ye Gui Feng draws his attention back to the present situation. The details of what he had just witnessed might have taken some time to describe but the amount of time that had passed in the physical world is less than a single minute.
Having obtained a body that is closer in relationship to a spirit rather than a human has seemingly caused the flows of time to move at a slower rate of speed for him.

Meeting Xuan Nuo's eyes that are brimming with the intent to battle Ye Gui Feng's body that is just a head at this time gives off a shine of golden radiance.
This radiance quickly covers Ye Gui Feng's entire body and with the passage of each breath his body gradually shrinks while changing into the form of a proper human body.
The amount of time that takes for Ye Gui Feng to reassume his human form wasn't long as he quickly finds himself standing upon the Dao Road that is decorated with red spider lilies.
"..."
In the same instance Xuan Nuo takes a single step back to reappear on the damaged earth.
*Boom!!* stomping the ground Xuan Nuo causes an army of corpses to rise from below.
[...]
Looking down at the army of death that is using their eerie red eyes to look up to him Ye Gui Feng waves his right hand.
This gesture causes a powerful gust of wind to sweep across the Dao Road and the florets of the plants that surrounds Ye Gui Feng are effortlessly lifted into the air.
Within a single second the skies are filled with the florets of red spider lilies.
However, this sight didn't last for long as these florets grew quickly and assumed a human form that possessed the same face as Ye Gui Feng. Each of these clones wore a red set of robes that are laced with the patterns of red spider lilies.
In the same instance the rain from before resumes and showers the damaged earths.
"..."
[...]
Tension boils in the air as Ye Gui Feng and Xuan Nuo looks to the other.
That single attack on Ye Gui Feng's part had dispelled all of Xuan Nuo's contempt as he no longer sees Ye Gui Feng as a prey but as an equal.
