Turning his head around to look towards the bedrooms of his home Ye Gui Feng's eyes pause upon it for a brief moment before turning away and looking back up at the dark skies.

Although he doesn't stand a chance against this enemy Ye Gui Feng wanted to at least buy his family time for them to prepare everything. So long as he can do that he is fine with death.

[Not running away?]

Disregarding the distance that separates them Ye Gui Feng can easily hear the voice of the Asura Monarch speaking to him.

Throughout his life the Asura Monarch has seen far too many individuals who had been foolish enough to think of escaping from him so seeing a rare case such as this is something that he finds amusing.

[That would be pointless.]

Having seen what the Yaksha Monarch had been capable of Ye Gui Feng sees no point in running away and he would be right to think this way. After all what is an Exalted Celestial supposed to amount to in the face of an Original Monarch that has dominated this universe since time immemorial?

Towards Ye Gui Feng's simplistic answer to his question the Asura Monarch smiles in agreement.

[Indeed, that would be pointless. Regardless choosing to stay and fight is a commendable feat that not many would have the courage to do.]

Seeing as how Ye Gui Feng doesn't plan on running away the Asura Monarch looks on with a light of praise.

[For that alone your bravery is deserving of praise and respects.]

As the dark spear levitates in front of his waist the Asura Monarch rests his hands upon it.

For Ye Gui Feng who is here to protect his eternity while the Asura Monarch is here to take it away from him a long conversation is meaningless to them both.

As the circumstances of their goals clash this battle is unavoidable for they will never be able to come to a compromise.

[Hence-]

The moment the Asura Monarch closes his eyes the entirety of the world falls silent.

This eerie silence would give one the impression that there doesn't exist a single being within this plane of heaven and earth that would dare to make any kind of noise before the ruler who is about to bring forth his judgment.

[I shall be fair in my judgment.]

The moment the Asura Monarch says these words a multitude of things occurred within the span of an instance.

To name a few-

The sound of lightning ceases.

The howls of the winds die down.

The speedy movements of a practitioner in flight pauses.

The fall of a withered leaf stops a few inches away from touching the ground.

As the powers of the Asura Monarch's Absolute Law spreads outwards and engulfs the entirety of the Primordial Continent time freezes over with the movements of the myriad lifeforms beneath this dark heaven being forcefully halted.

The instance in which the Asura Monarch reopens his eyes the period of frozen time breaks down as the movements of everything is restored back to normal.

However-

[...Hm?]

Standing out in the courtyard Ye Gui Feng's body trembles as he felt a difficult to describe feeling. It is almost as if someone had dragged his soul right out of his body but upon checking his current state he realizes that his physical body is still there.
