Chapter 4

Hey there Writerz! Writer050 here and here is the next chapter of Raddison High!

Ashley's POV

I started skating home on my pennyboard, I was really nervous. I couldn't tell my parents that I had lost the house key. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I took it out.

Best news I had heard all day.

Mom: Hey honey Dad and I have gone down to the countryside to make sure your grandpa is going to be alright. Your brother will take care of you and we will be back on Sunday.

Another text came in from my brother.

Kyle: I'm staying at Ryan's this week. Don't even think about spilling to Mom and Dad. Don't take anyone back to our house without checking with me. See you on Saturday.

I was so happy, I wasn't paying attention. I skated down and missed my turn off. I skated across the road and I looked behind me.

Crap.

I flew off my pennyboard and closed my eyes for the crash landing. I opened my eyes to see... Mitch. I was on top of him. He just looked at me with this look like 'The Hell?!'

"Oh my god I'm so sorry!" I said getting up frantically.

I picked up my pennyboard and stood on it. He was just staring at me, I wasn't sure whether it was daydreaming or whether he was thinking about.. No Ashley he isn't. He wouldn't go for you. I bet he has a girlfriend anyway.

"So umm. Bye Mitch." I said nervously noticing my shoe was untied.

I leant down to tie my shoe as Mitch leant down aswell.

"I heard about what happened with Rob. Well what things happened with Rob."

"So?" I replied back a little harshly and startin to sniffle.

"If you need a place to stay. I could give you a place to sleep if you want?" He asked putting his hand at the back of his neck.

"Yeah well if it's in the same bed, no thanks Mitch." I said standing up and getting on my pennyboard once again.

I pushed my foot along the sidewalk and continued my slow descent to nowhere.

I could hear Mitch run behind me. I sped up a little bit.

"Ashley, wait!" He yelled sprinting towards me.

"What?" I ask stopping my penny board and turning to face him.

I folded my arms and took one foot off my board.

"No I'm not interested in that... Just trying to be nice." He said nervously and started walking away.

"I'm sorry! Look Mitch. That's really nice of you to ask. If you don't mind I would like to stay at your house." I said pulling his wrist I make him stop.

"Kay then let's go!" He said pulling a penny board out of his rucksack. It was dark blue with black wheels.

"I didn't know you skated?" I asked him pushing my foot across the sidewalk.

We skated down the hill to a fork and turned left

"Hey Ashley, my parents don't umm. Stay at my house." He said moving in front of me rather than next to me.

"Oh, okay that's fine." I said kinda surprised.

We stayed in silence for the rest of the journey to Mitch's house.

We arrived and I hopped off my board and carried to to the front door. He unlocked the door and nipped in to shut off the alarm.

We went in and he went upstairs. I plopped my stuff next to the door, then shut it.

"Uh Mitch? Should I stay down here?" I asked shouting up to him.

"Yeah, come on up." He replied.

I walked up the stairs and across to where I thought Mitch's voice was coming from.

He was looking about in his drawers and picked out a packet of something.

"Skye! Come here girl!" He yelled, a dig bounding into the room stopping right in front of Mitch and sat down.

"She's a pomsky, a mix between a Pomeranian and a Husky."

"She's cute." I replied and giggled.

Mitch gave her a couple of treats, then she bounded over to me and jumped up into my arms ad knocked me over.

I lay on the floor giggling and petting Skye.

"Here, I'll get her off." He said reaching for Skye and holding her in his arms.

"You want a sna- OH SKYEE!" he said and put Skye on his bed.

I looked down and she peed on him.

" Ashley do you mind?" He asked pulling at the end if his shirt.

"Not at all, go ahead." I said.

He took his shirt off and threw it on the bed. Normally My cheeks would be red at something like this. I just feel so comfortable around him.

He reached up to the top in his wardrobe. He was on his tip-toes.

He grabbed a light blue graphic tee with a pair of headphones on it.

"Now do you want a snack." He said chuckling

"Sure, I don't mind." I said following him down the stairs.

He took out two packets of popcorn and put them in the microwave.

"You wanna watch a movie?" He asked getting some sodas out the fridge.

"Sure what are we going to watch?" I asked him

"What about... SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!" He screamed laughing.

"What ever you say!" I said laughing too.

The microwave went ding ding ding and Mitch opened it and popped open the bags of popcorn and put them in a big clear bowl.

We walked through to the living area and Mitch put the popcorn on the table and jumped on the couch.

He patted the space next to him and I jumped over the back of the couch and sat at the other end of the couch. He passed me a blanket and I snuggled up to the end of the couch.

"Hey! I want some blanket too!" Mitch yelled in that friendly way.

I scooted closer to him and gave him some of the blanket.
