Chapter 6

Ashley's POV

Rob walked me over to his car and opened the passenger seat door for me.

I sat down on the seat and put my seatbelt on.

"Rob? Where exactly is your house?" I ask curiously.

"Half a mile from here. Why?" He replies

"Just... curious." I say, I kinda sound suspicious.

Rob looked at the enterance to the school before getting in the car. I could see his eyes widen. He jumped in the car slammed his door shut and drove away within five seconds.

"Rob? What's the hurry?" I ask.

He grunts in reply

"Rob? Why did you drive away so fast?" I ask again.

"Let's just say something bad's gonna happen tonight and it has nothing to do with me." He says and runs a hand through his hair.

We arrive at his house five minutes later.

It is huge. Three floors. Triple the size of mine or Mitch's house.

I can feel the vibration in my pocket and pick out my phone. It's a text, from my ex-boyfriend. I only broke up with him yesterday.

You wanna hang out on Friday? I was thinking my place. Ly bæ.

He is one of those guys who thinks he can get any girl whenever.

Why should I? You broke up with me yesterday. I text back.

I follow Rob inside his house and he unlocks the door and flicks the light switch. I walk in and he closes the door behind me. He grabs my wrist as I am looking at his living room and pulls me against a wall.

He has both my wrists in his hands and his legs against mine, so I can't kick him.

"Stuff is going to happen tonight. Don't talk to anyone you don't know." He growls at me.

"Don't tell me what to do. I'm going to make friends." I say to him.

"Mitch has a girlfriend. He broke up with her to... It doesn't matter. She doesn't want you near him. Okay?" He snarls at me.

"He..he has a g, girlfriend?" I stutter and bit my lip to hold back tears.

I don't even know why I'm almost crying. We weren't even dating it anything. We just kissed.

A tear escaped my eye and rolled down my cheek. Rob wiped it away with the pad if his thumb.

"Ashley, it's fine. They're not together. Why do you care anyway? You and Mitch have only worked together on a project and that's about it." He says softly but gets angry nearer the end.

"Just let me go Rob." I say looking away from him.

"Kiss me Ashley." He whispered softly into my ear.

I stared into his big eyes full of hope and what is the other thing? Love?!

I gave him a small peck on the lips, but Rob being Rob pulled me into him and held the kiss. He started making his way to the couch and I managed to grab his wrist and push him away from me.

"Stop it Rob! If you ever want me to like you, you're gonna have to stop trying to kiss me. Alright?" I say angrily whilst taking a step back.

"You're right Ash. Can I call you Ash? I'm sorry." Rob said and looked down at his feet.
