Ashley's POV

I walk down the familar path that leads to the woods, I weigh my options.

Walk the long way around Mitch's house?

Or the short really scary and muddy way?

The second one. I step into the woods and take my headphones out my ears and shove them into my pocket. SNAP! There goes behind me. My head whips tound and I see a shadow duck behind a tree. I turn my back around so I'm still facing the tree, walking backwards. I quickly turn around and my walk turns into a run. I run out the woods and into the street. I run three blocks before I realise that I can hear footsteps behind me and my legs turn into a sprint. I glance behind me to find it's Jerome.

I stop running and turn around to face him.

"What the hell Jerome?" I pant

"I, uh hi?" He mumbles

"What is it?" I groan.

"I just wanted to talk." He says staring at the ground.

"About what?" I ask.

"You... and me." He admits looking up at me with longing eyes.

"I'm done with guys. I'm so flippin' done with you guys. You know what I'm done with this whole school, this whole city." I wave my hands out in front of me.

"You're staying right?" He asks cautiously.

"I have to don't I?" I moan

"JEROME!" A voice calls from behind him.

"I better go." He says and runs away.

I continue the walk back to my house and run up to my room. I lock the door and walk over to my bedside cabinet. I grab my song book out my drawer and pull out a pen too. I go over my song again. I begin with

"Ash! There's someone at the door to see you!" Kyle yells from downstairs and I place my book in the bed before climbing down the stairs.

"Hey Isla." I say and beckon her inside.

She walks in and Kyle saunters off to his study. She places her bag on the floor and slips her shoes off.

"Ashley? Are you and Mitch alright?" She asks curiously.

I walk out into the street and pull Isla with me.

"What are we doing?" She asks

"You are meeting my friends." I reply laughing.

She tries to walk back into my house, but I pull her wrist.

"Carter! Kian! Jared! Drew! Noah! Alfie! Megan! Leah!" I tell into the street and Isla looks at me as if I'm insane. My phone begins to buzz and I pull it out to see I have received seven texts.

"Ohhhhh. Jared can't make it, he's somewhere else." I pout as the other seven come out their houses.
