Chapter 23: Plot Twist!

??? POV (Short)

I strolled along the sidewalk and kicked a stone across it, I hated Saturdays. I was always kicked out the house, cause my stupid parents don't even care about me. I walked down to Rob's house and knocked in the door before shoving my hands in my pockets again. He opened the door and invited me right in.

"What's up?" He asked and sat down on the couch.

"Nothing much, I'm just nervous about the plan." I admitted

"It's gonna work fine." He stated calmy

"Well, now that the four of us are here, let's get to work." Rob said rubbing his hands together evily.

We all sat down on the armchairs and couch's near Rob and listened intently

Time Skip

"Okay, so everyone clear on their part of the plan? We start next week guys. Don't forget." Rob stood up and opened the front door.

"Yup." We all said in unison and I grabbed my hoodie and zipped it up to my neck.

"Rob?" I asked once everyone left.

"What do you want?" He smirked at lay down on the couch.

"Won't she get hurt?" I ask nervously

"Who cares. She's just some stupid little girl that's only worth like $100 mate. No one cares." He laughed

"Except me, I guess." I mumbled and headed for the door

"What was that?" He was standinh up now.

"I didn't say anything." I say and turn around to face him.

"What did you say?" He asked again this time more forcefully.

"Get lost." I said and walked out the door.

I walked down to the local shops and into Wal-Mart, I grab a bottle of Coke and a packet of sour patch kids and walk to the check out. I pay for my stuff and walk to the park.

Ashley's POV

"Noooo!" I yell pulling my covers over my head.

"Ashley! Get off that couch!" Laura yells trying to pull the covers away from me.

"Ughhhh. I don't want to." I sigh and let her take them

"What's wrong.?" She asks sitting beside me.

"Mitch walked out on our date last night. I knew that song he sang was about me and he just got all mad and walked out." I say sitting up.

"What? Why the hell would he do that?" She asked and furrowed her brow.

I giggled."You have baby hair." I laughed and played with the baby hair on her head.

"Stahp!" She yells sarcastically

I get changed and meet Laura in the kitchen, she made waffles! I grabbed two waffles and put them on my plate. I put honey over them, whipped cream, chocolate sauce and strawberries. I sat down at the table with her and ate the waffles.

"What do you wanna do today?" She asks taking a sip of her orange juice.

"I don- wait! What day is it today?" I ask halfway through

"The 17th why?" She asks clearing her plate

"Today is the last day of the city carnival!" I exclaim and take my plate into the kitchen too.

"Sure wanna invite Isla, Laura, Laura and Louise?" She asks placing her plate in the sink.

"Yeah I'll call Isla and Louise." I say doing the same with my plate.

I walk back into the living room and take out my phone. I begin to get a little upset when I see my lock screen. A selfie Mitch and I took last night, him kissing my cheek and me looking surprised and hugging him.

I quickly change it to Magcon and call Isla first. She picks up on the second ring.

"Hey, you wanna go to the carnival today?" I ask

"Yeah, me you Louise and the Laura's." I reply

"Ummm, an hour?" I suggest.

"Okay! See you there!" I say and hang up the phone and call Louise, she answers on the 11th ring.

"Hiya! Louise?" I say into the phone

"Carnival today? In an hour?" I ask

"Laura's, Isla, you and me." I reply

"Yeah I'll meet you at the entrance.

"Bye." I say and hang up the phone.

The doorbell goes and I shout to Laura "THERE'S SOMEONE AT THE DOOR!"

"THEN ANSWER IT!" She yells back. I walk over to the door and find a puffy eyed Mitch standing there with a broken rose and hair all messed up. His cheeks are tear-stained and I can't help, but feel sorry for him.

"A-Ashley please f-forgive me. I really like you." He begins to cry again.

DAMN IT MITCH! You make me feel like I love you, then you go and be an idiot, then come back and make me feel like I love you again. I just can't take it anymore.

"Mitch," I sigh. He turns around and starts walking away. I run outside and grab his wrist to pull him to face me. His eyes look hurt and broken as he makes eye contact with me. His bottom lip trembles and I pull him in for a hug, a really long and tight one.

"I'm so sorry." He whispers and wraps his arms around me. I was about to say something before Laura came outside and took in the scene in front of her. Honestly if I wasn't me, I would be very amused and confused.

"Come on Ashley. We have to go." She says coldly and takes me into the car.

"Bye Mitch." I say and sit in the car.

"What the hell? I've dated Mitch, he's not a good guy. He makes you feel special and like dumps you then makes you feel special then dumps you again. It's his same cycle. It's his way with every girl." She says and throws her head back onto the headrest. She can obviously see I'm hurt and tries to comfort me.

"I just mean he dates every girl, don't get messed up with guys like him." She says and drives to the carnival, I think abput what she said the entire drive there. By the time we get there it's already 12 and we're meeting the girls at 12:30. I pay for six tickets at the gate and walk over to Laura, Louise and Isla.
