She dragged me for a good mile, until we finally reach the edge of the apocalyptic looking city.
"This is where you live?" I scramble to my feet. "It's my half of the town. Half the Time...anyway." she trails off. I can tell the conversation is over, and we start walking again. "So- what's your name?" I try breaking the ice. "Cindy Martez." she answers. "And yours?". "Um..Oak-Oak Woods."I stumble. Ok. Maybe I was developing, what some average humans might call...a crush..."Well nice to meet you Oak Oak Woods. Sorry for slapping you." she apologizes. It doesn't sound sincere, but I'll take it. We keep walking, and I start wondering how I jumped from a 5 story cruise ship and survived. I felt like asking her how this could even be possible. "Tell me Oak Oak; why did you ask if I was a horse?" she breaks the silence. I can't even answer right. "Horses...I used to live on a farm...I saw a lot of..So I was rushing, and the first thing that came to mind...Should have said alpacas." I jumble up my words. We stop in front of a very nice looking 2 story house. "Yours?" I ask. She nods her head. Suddenly a boy bursts through the door, and two bright flashes of lights happen. "CALLI THE GREAT HAS NOTICED YOUR PRESENCE!" he voice sounded like a magician, who also happened to be 14, and he looked...What's the words? Over inflated ego obnoxious. "Calliope, this is Oak Woods. I found him on the Seltice."her whole tone of voice changed, like she was annoyed with him. "Hello Darling, you dare adress me with that pituful mortal name? Are we still ongoing our relationship, or have you finally moved on with your pathetic life?" he winked at her. I saw her blush, and I felt a bit of jealousy bubbling up inside me.
"Hey Calliope! Don't t-talk to her like that!" I yell. Calliope looks at me and points his finger. "Though his brain may be a log, turn this fool into frog!" a sharp light sparked from his fingertips. I was full on prepared to be a frog, but nothing happened. "Wh-what? How did you?!" he walks inside grumbling. I notice that Cindy was drinking something black and oily. After the jug had emptied, she let out a loud burp, and the wiped her mouth. "Wow. None of the boys back home could've done that. And I wouldn't expect-" I stopped myself. "You'd never expect a pretty face like me to do completely normal bodily fuctions?" she poked me in the cheek and walked inside. I had no choice but to follow her.
"The Great Calli wants a peanut butter sandwich." I heard the jerk boy call out. But I looked around and saw nothing. I looked down, and saw that he was smaller than me, and had on a witch's outfit. "You're cute." I mock him.
"You're a giant.." he runs away. Now I'm dealing with Little baby Bastard Witches Even Better.
