A mom was pregnant with a second child. They were on her bed when her first child suddenly asked.
"Mom, will you show my sister in your tummy more attention than me?"
"No sweetie, I won't. You'll always be my first. I will always be there to show you affection and love you."
"Promise you won't forget about me?"
"I promise baby."
The mom had her second child cared for her well, the sister loved her new sibling but she felt bad that her mom made no time for her. She wasn't acting selfish, for she knew her sister needed to be well taken care of.
Her sister had grown, and so did the first daughter. But it seemed like the mother loved paying more attention to the second child rather than the first.
The first daughter fought for the mother's attention but she still wasn't getting the love she wanted.
Years past and the daughter slowly distance herself from her mother and two sisters. Yes sisters, the mother was pregnant and had another child. The mother seemed to love the other two more than the first and it took a toll on the girl the point where she felt utterly devastated.
She found no reason to fight for her mom's attention anymore. She found no reason to try and make back the friendship that was damaged. She found no reason to try.
The mother promised to never forget her, but I guess the mother's promises were just her fantasies.
Years after years past, and the mother and daughter slowly drifted away from each other, until none knew how to even say hey.
But each day it pained to see the daughter this way.
Her mom stopped caring and her daughter as well. And it went on until she slowly drifted away.
Sometimes she wished for her old mom back, to care and to show affection. Yet she is shouted at repeatedly with lectures.
It wasn't until one day, the girl gave up and ran away***
