A young little girl lived with her dad
Who gave her almost everything he had
She loved him with every soul of her being
Her love left ours so intrigued
It was only until she got much older
That she realised her father was never there for her
He only bought her what she wanted
To which she now found so disturbing
What used to be everyday texts and calls, promises and jokes
Turned out to be distance, ignored calls and little strokes
A bond she thought would last forever
Faded away and she missed her old father
The new version of her father rarely spoke to her
Giving false promises and busy reminders
Now grown up, she realises that she doesn't matter anymore
The memory of a distant father so pure
