Cole x Billy

Cole was visiting for the first time since he left Avonlea. Him and Anne were hanging out where their sacred spot was before it got destroyed. He was doing better in Charlottetown with Aunt Josephine.

"How's it been in Avonlea?" Cole asks.

"The same, Billy's still a bully, Gilbert and I are still rivals, and we still do writing club sometimes. How has it been in Charlottetown?"

"I've been working on sculptures, it's nice," he says.

Billy Andrews sees them from a distance, and decides it's time he spoke to Cole. He walks over to them.

"Hey guys," he says.

They both collect their stuff to try and leave. But Billy stops them.

"Don't walk away, I just want to talk to Mr.Mackenzie," he says.

"Go Anne," Cole says.

Anne gets on her tippie toes to whisper in his ear,"I'm going to be behind that tree incase you need me," she says. Cole nod and she walks away. Once she's away Billy speaks.

"Look, I'm sorry for what I did before you left," Billy says.

"Okay, is that all?"

"I guess," he replies.

"Very well then, goodbye Billy," Cole says turning around.

"Wait," he stops Cole.

"Do you need something?"

"I have to tell you something," he says.

"What."

"I like boys."

"What do I have to do with that?" Cole asks annoyed.

"Well," Billy says.

"Well," Cole mocks him.

"You don't need to be rude about it," Billy says.

"You literally bullied me, caused me to break my wrist and not be able to draw again, and destroyed our hideout. I have every right to be rude to you," Cole retaliates.

"Do you like boys?" Billy asks.

"What's it to you?" Cole asks.

"This," Billy says cupping Cole's face. Cole pushes Billy off him and walks away. Billy sits down on a log, while Cole and Anne walk back to Green Gables. 

"I can't believe he did that," Anne says.

"Me neither, he thinks he can just waltz into the woods and be all lovey dovey with me. It takes more than that," Cole replies.

"I also imagine you would have higher standards than Billy," Anne says chuckling.
