Billverly

They were at the carnival. The losers club was having a good time. Mike and Ben eating ice cream, Richie cracking jokes with strangers, Eddie volunteering at first aid, Stan playing games, and Bill and Beverly were hanging at the lake. Soon everybody gathered near the lake, having picnics, playing games, and having fun. Without warning, Beverly walked up to the lake and hopped in. She didn't tell anybody that she was going to, or invite anybody. None of the losers, especially Bill, would ever forget the look Beverly gave them before going in the lake. That was because it would be the last look she ever gave them. It was a look of somewhat sadness, but a little smirk. She jumped in that lake, and didn't make it out alive. It was labeled an accidental drowning, but the losers, her only friends, felt it was more.

Twenty years later, Bill still thinks about that. He thinks about it alot. He's married to the woman he loves. But he can't help but sit and  wonder, if the strong, red-head had lived, what could've been.
