Reader's P.O.V.
The guy gets off his phone and asks my friend (y/f/n) for one more pump of coconut. He surely seems to love his coconut. Just then my roomate Becky walks in. "Doth my eyes deceive me or are you actually awake before 10:00am?" The guy says. I guess Becky and the guy are very close friends. "My roommate? Impossible." Becky says to the guy next to her. "Rough night, Becky?" My friend says giving the guy's cup one more pump of coconut. "You have no idea. Danielle Steele all-night movie marathon. Enough said." Becky says to my friend.
"More cheesy romance movies? By the way who's the guy? He looks familiar." I said to Becky looking at the tall handsome man standing next to her. "Oh him?" Becky laughs. "This is Scott Evans, Chris Evans' little brother. Him and I have been friends for quite some time. Chris is a well known actor so that's probably why you know him." Becky said giving a pat in Scott's shoulder. Scott held his hand out for me to shake. "Hey I am Scott, Becky told me all about you. I come here for coffee sometimes and so does my brother when he needs a chance to clear his mind. You guys have the best coffee here in Boston." Scott says as I took his hand in mine and shook it.
"Yeah I know who you are I've seen interviews of you and your bother Chris. It's very nice to meet you and that's what keeps us in business. Our very own local coffee here in Boston." I say to Scott with a smile.
"Oh excuse me." Another good friend of mine and co-worker Eli just came in pretty late this morning and accidentally bumped into Becky on his way to the cashier counter. "You so did that on purpose." Becky said to Eli. "Yes. Yes. I did." Eli said while putting is apron on. "See, that was your perfect opportunity to defend my honor, Scott." Becky says to her good friend Scott. "The master is here." Eli said. "The master is late." I said to Eli unimpressed. "Not to mention loud and obnoxious." Becky added. "Master really? I believe you lost the barista war yet again." My friend says to Eli. "Don't worry about it, Eli, no one's beaten her." Scott says to Eli. "Expresso just bends her will." "Well, it is an art form, but you can keep practicing." I said to Eli. Eli is our newest recruit to the business but he's also the fastest. "Yeah well, I am getting faster and she's getting nervous." Eli said. Eli always loves a good competition. "Here comes Eli, Super Barista. Here the save the world one latte at a time." Becky says sarcasticly but also a bit annoyed. Ugh she's so mean sometimes I wish she would just leave because we have work to do. Scott's really nice though. I never really cared for my roommate all that much but she helped me afford the place and got me a job.
"Don't you have a job to go to or something?" Eli said kind of ticked off with Becky' attitude towards him. "That's one of the many benefits of being an Executive Resale Specialist, flexible hours." Becky brags about her job. "Executive what? You sell old junk on Ebay." Eli says to her still pretty annoyed with her. I just minded my own business and got to work. She was still annoying me. Ugh! "Ventage collectibles. There's a difference." She says to Eli as she eats some of the cookies we have out for the paying customers. "Hey easy, tiger. Save some for the paying customers, please." I say stopping Becky from eating the cookies.
"You do realize metabolism is a gift, right?" Eli asks. "An unfair gift." My friend says looking at Becky whishing just as much as I do for her to leave. "What is this like 'pick on Becky' morning?" Becky says still pretty annoyed at everyone. God why is she here when we have a coffee pot in the freaking apartment. If she wants coffee then she should say so instead of slowing everyone down and making them annoyed at her. "Yeah stop hassling my friend." Scott says defending her. Ok maybe Scott isn't the best as I thought he was. "She's just a bit grumpy because of the lack of sleep she had guys. She doesn't mean to be rude."
