Mia's P.O.V
The storm looked like it was getting worse, but that alone couldn't stop me from turning into the lavish neighborhood located in the forest, that damn near took me an hour to get to.
The gps tells me to turn right, but I'm blocked off by a gate. "What the fu..." I pulled out the note that had the address. "He didn't..." I flipped it over, revealing the 6 digit code.
The gates opened, my eyes widened as I pulled up to this beautiful house surrounded by trees.
I saw two very sexy cars and a bike in the driveway.
A dark grey Aspid GT-21, along with a Dodge Blacktop Avenger.
Was my mate rich?
And I thought he was alone...
I turned off the car and let out a nervous shaky breath.
I pushed my door open, grabbing my bag and umbrella and ran towards his house. I got up to his porch and rang the doorbell.
I stood there looking around.
"You're early." A deep husky voice, belonging to my mate, spoke, making my eyes snap towards him.
I bit my lip taking in his appearance.
He was shirtless; he had on black sweats and no socks, just his bare feet.
His dark hair was messy, as if he'd just rolled out of bed.
I shook my head, ripping my eyes away from his body and up to his eyes; he was already staring at me. "I... uh... wanted to beat the storm." He just stared at me.
He opened the door fully and stepped aside.
I stood awkwardly by the door.
Was I just supposed to walk in?
"Get in here... before I change my mind."
Before I had the chance to step in, he pulled me in, making me stumble in. He caught me by my wrist before I lost my balance. "Thank you..." I looked back at him. He ignored me. "You have a beautiful home." I looked around.
He closed the door and locked it. His arm brushed past my shoulder as he walked past me, leaving tingles there. He sat on the dark blue leather couch and took out a cigarette; he lit it and took a long drag. "Sit down..." He blew the smoke out.
I walked over to the couch across from him and sat down. "You know... that's bad for you." I pointed at the cigarette in his hand.
"You came here to tell me what's bad for me... or to write the shit you need to know." He took another drag.
I shook my head. "No... it's just... cancer, cigarettes are like cancer sticks... and cancers not that easy to beat."
His jaw locked in place.
He suddenly looked angry... I mean he always looks angry. But he looked pissed.
What did I say wrong?
He laughed harshly, blowing out the smoke. "Worry about your damn self."
Taken aback, I bit my lip to keep from saying something I might regret.
"And I told you to stop doing that." His eyes flickered towards my lips then back to my eyes.
"Worry about your damn self." My eyes widen at the realization of what I just said. I slapped my hands over my mouth mumbling. "I mean..."
