Felix's P.O.V

I followed Ian into the kitchen as he approached an older woman in what looked like a... uniform, cooking. I'm assuming she was the cook.

He playfully scared the woman who seemed to be lost in her music.

So a butler and a cook, I'm sure there are maids around here. I looked around the house, trying to take in what my mate was like. "Ian, this is Mrs. Esposito. Like Jeffery, she's been working with us since I was little." He introduced as he crept his hand around to steal a piece of the chopped up grilled chicken.

She swatted his hand. "Ehi! Non è finita, ti ammalerai e non voglio che i tuoi mi inseguano la testa quando morirà in un letto ospedaliero."

I frowned. "I don't..."

"She said she doesn't want me to get salmonella." Ian laughed.

"You're Italian?"

She poked him in his side with the back of the spatula. "He wishes, I'm assuming you're the infamous Felix he has been talking about?"

I looked at Ian. "For someone who doesn't want anyone knowing, it seems like a lot of people already know."

"Know what?" A woman walked into the kitchen. "Oh, you didn't tell me you were bringing a guest." The older blonde woman, whom I'm assuming was his mother, placed her undoubtedly ridiculously expensive bag on the counter.

Ian moved away from Mrs. Esposito and leaned against the counter. "Oh yeah, it was sort of a last-minute thi..."

"Well, aren't you yummy. Who's this new friend of yours, Ian?"

I nodded her way respectfully. "Felix, ma'am."

"Hm," She took a step towards me. "Julia. Now, how old are you?"

"We should probably get started on those plays I was telling you about." Felix stepped in, saving me from his mother who I was sure was seconds away from attacking.

I nodded. "Right. It was nice meeting you ma..." she raised an eyebrow at me. "Julia... and you Mrs. Esposito."

"Dinner will be ready in an hour," Julia answered on behalf of Mrs. Esposito who seemed to have halted for a split second before carrying on. "Do tell me you're staying for it."

I swallowed back any remarks before nodding and allowing Felix to guide me out of the kitchen and towards an... elevator? "An elevator? Really?"

Felix just shrugged. "It's the fastest way to get downstairs to my room."

I shook my head. Of course.

Once the elevator door opened he led me over to another door before pulling out a key and opening it and revealing his private sanctuary to me. It was nothing like I expected. In size, yes, but it felt like him. My eyes fell on the guitar at the foot of the bed. "You play?" I moved over towards it, picking it up and running my fingertips across the strings softly.

Ian cleared his throat as he closed his bedroom door. He rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah..."

"Wanna play me something?" I ushered him over.

Ian bit his lip. "I've never really played for anyone else."

I snorted. "I'm not just anyone, I'm your ma... I'm special." I handed him the guitar as I sat at the edge of his bed.
