Mia's P.O.V

I was graduating, again.

My parents flew in a couple days ago but I had yet to really sit and catch up with them due to Landon. Not that he was keeping me all to himself, I just thought about our future.

Everything between us was great, not because we hung out everyday or we were doing more couple-like things together without him actually asking me officially.

But I couldn't be completely happy when I was the one who kept secrets from him. The guilt was eating me alive. He told me things other people could never imagine.

So why couldn't I do the same?

I couldn't help but think about that time back in the library.

After graduation he was going back to Italy.

I knew that I had to tell him. I had to give him the choice on whether he wanted to be with me or not. I couldn't go on leaving him in the dark.

How do you break news to someone about you being something that may seem highly impossible, and not have them react negatively or laugh because they think you might be going crazy.

To say that I was scared was a complete understatement, I was petrified.

The fear of rejection came back in full force. I mean I think I had back 5 panic attacks within one hour. I still hadn't moved from the same spot.

"Mia, you ready?" Tara asked as we walked together in the gymnasium to be lined up alphabetically. I just nodded, smiling tightly before we were separated.

"Everything is going to be a lot better in the long run, I promise." My mom squeezed my shoulder. "Try to have fun and look happy, you graduated again."

I shook my head. "Your right mom, sorry."

She smiled. "It's okay."

I sighed running my hand through my hair. "I've just been so worried about Landon and how everything would play out. I must look like a totally different person to you and dad now."

She waved me off. "If I were you, I'd be doing the exact same thing. Mates come first at times like these. Everybody is bound to change some day, it could be good or bad, but change is good, and no matter how much you change, me and your father will always love you."

I smiled. "I feel like I can always count on you, you always know what to say and do to make a person feel... I don't know, good."

"I've missed you, even if it was just for a couple of months." She hugged me.

I hugged her back. "I missed you too."

She pulled back. "Okay, now let's go to this not so surprise party so I can officially meet your mate."

I bit my lip nodding.

"Now I'm going to go in first, you guys will wait 5 minutes and..."

I zoned her out as she went over the plan of me pretending to be surprised at a party for us graduates. Landon

Luke's P.O.V

I stood awkwardly with Landon and Ian on either side of me as we waited for Felix, Mia and Tara to come in and be surprised. My mom looked equally uncomfortable, clutching her bag with my dad by her side as they waited for the party to kick off so they could sneak away from each other and no doubt take advantage of the open bar.
