Mia's P.O.V

I could just skip my last class, pretend I came down with something and go home.

A lot occurred to me as I slowly walked towards my undeniable fate. But I knew that I couldn't avoid classes just because I was being a pussy. I mean it's not like I needed these classes anyways, I already graduated. I only stuck around this school because of Landon; I didn't want to run into any old classmates down the line and be deemed the girl who suddenly dropped out.

"Excuse me," a voice sounded behind me. I didn't even realize that I was blocking the door.

I quickly snapped out of my daze. "Sorry." I stepped into the class. Not surprised to see Landon already seated in the back.

Here we go, I mentally prepared myself as I slowly walked back to take my seat next to him. I bit my lip looking down at my pencil laying on the desk, anywhere but him.

I jumped a little when his hand moved to open his notebook. I don't know why I thought he was moving to touch me.

As the class filled in and the teacher started her lesson, I couldn't help but steal glances at him. He didn't even look at me once. I frowned as he paid attention solely to the teacher.

I "dropped" my pencil between us and moved to grab it, my hand resting on his thigh as I reached down and grabbed it. "Sorry." I looked at him as I moved my chair back up against the desk.

He just nodded me off, continuing to put his full focus on the teacher.

We weren't even learning anything that damn interesting!

Slightly annoyed, I gripped my pencil and went on writing my notes.

The class seemed to drag by painfully slow, with him ignoring me and me doing small things to get his attention.

As soon as the bell rang, Landon was up and out. I frowned watching as he left the room. I got up quickly to follow him. He was already grabbing his stuff out of his locker and was advancing towards the exit without a single look back.

I rushed to my locker, grabbing what I needed, and practically ran out. I made it just in time to see Landon peeling out of the parking lot.

Now, why the hell is he avoiding me now?

I made my way to my car and contemplated following him. Was he that mad that I didn't follow him when he asked?

Sighing, I started my car and made my way home. I needed to let my wolf out.

After running for what felt like forever, we took a detour back home and ended up at a lake in the woods. I walked over towards it and plopped down. I reached a paw in and swirled it around.

The sound of footsteps altered me that someone was near. But that scent is what stopped me from leaving. Paralyzed with uncertainty, I stood up to leave, the last thing I wanted to do was scare him.

"Merda," Landon whispered under his breath.

Fuck me, just when I thought I was going to clear my head of him, he randomly shows up.

I turned to look at him, he stood there slowly raising his hands. "It's okay, I'm not here to hurt you." He reassured me. "And you're not going to hurt me too, right?"

I held back a whimper as I contemplated running away or showing him that hurting him was the last thing I ever wanted to do.

I didn't even realize I was walking towards him until I was crouched down in front of him. Almost begging him to touch me.
