Okay I've never tried this but I'll give it a shot.
I think their relationship would be a good one until threatened. I find space players to be very balanced people who live to help their friends. Based off Kanaya and jades relationship with their friends and the way they talk with and help them. The prince of life could benefit from this balanced player. like when Eridan went off the deep end and kanaya ended up killing him this shows that there is only so much someone can take.
so a word of caution. the balanced nature of a space player can only go on for so long before they in turn go off the deep end. Especially when their other friends are endangered.
But it can still work. it all comes down to the bond and depth of the relationship. We have here a case of natural Moirails if the heir of space can keep the prince calm.
