Part 8

*Selena’s POV*

“So how’d it go?” Vanessa said barging into my house.

“Hello to you too. Please come on in,” I said sarcastically as I picked up an empty cup that was on the table walked over to put it in the sink.

“Hi how are you? Yeah, yeah. Blah, blah. How was the date?” she asked quickly following me to the kitchen.

“V, calm down. It wasn’t that big of a deal. We went to the children’s hospital, then to a small little sandwich show and eat then we went home. That’s all.”

“Really cause that’s not what I saw on E! this morning,” she said in a sing song voice as she began to look through my pantry for something to eat.

I closed the pantry door staying her dead in the eyes. “What do you mean?”

“I saw a video of you and Justin kissing yesterday before he got out of the car,” she explained with a smirk.

My hands flew to my head and I began to walk in circles around the island. “What am I going to do? It really wasn’t what it looked like. Justin went to kiss me on the cheek and I turned and we accidently kissed and he’s going to hate me.”

“Selena, calm down. It’s not that big of a deal. Just call him. I’m sure he will understand,” she explained causing me to stop walking.

“Call him?” I asked making her nod in response.

I grabbed my phone off the counter and went through my contacts until I found Justin’s name.

Right as I was about to press it my phone started ringing as Justin’s name popped up on the screen.

I hit answer before saying hello.

“Hey, Sel, it’s me uh have you seen the news?” He asked getting right to the point.

“I just heard about it,” I sighed looking to Vanessa for support.

“I’m so sorry,” he said, making a confused expression rise on my face.

“You’re sorry? No, I am the one who turned my head. I’m sorry,” I explained.

“Um… anyway,” Justin said into the phone. “I was wondering if, I don’t know, you maybe want to like go out with me tomorrow?”

“Like a date?” I asked as I watched Vanessa’s eyes grow wider.

“Yeah… Or not. Whichever,” he said before he let out a nervous laugh.

“Sure, Justin. I’d love to. It’s a date. I’ll see you. Text me the details,” I said with a smile before hanging up.
