Testing Fate
Part 37
*Justin’s POV*
“I can stay really,” I said taking off my jacket for the 3rd time.
“No! I’ll be fine! It’s nothing more than a little nausea. Really, go have fun with the boys. I’ll be okay. If it gets really bad, I’ll call Taylor. I promise. Don’t worry about me,” she said putting my jacket back on me and pushing me towards the door. “Have fun.”
“Fine, but call me if you need me,” I said kissing her quickly before ducking out into the darkness that had already taken over the city of L.A.
I slid into my Leopard Audi that I had had for years before zooming off to Ryan’s house where Ry Good, Alfredo, Khalil and Za were for a guy’s night.
“Finally! Where have you been?” Khalil joked as I made it inside peeling my leather jacket off.
“Complications with Sel, sorry,” I said putting a smile on my face.
“In light of 4 out of 6 of us not being single we all decided to keep it tamed by going to a shooting range,” Ryan said earning a hoot and holler from the rest of the guys.
We all piled into an array of cars to get us to the shooting range of our choice only a few minutes down the street.

“How many of you have shot a gun?” The instructed asked. I raised my hand.
“Bro, CSI does not count! That gun was fake!” Alfredo said looking at me like I was stupid.
“How many have you have shot a real gun?” the instructor said changing his question causing me to lower my hand.
For the next 15 minutes he showed us the ins and out of how to use a gun the correct way. Honestly, I had never thought that much about it. I really didn’t think there was anything more to it then pulling the trigger but there was a lot more than that, and it really all depended on the type of gun.
“Let’s start off with one of the most common guns known to man: a pistol,” Josh, the instructor said handing each of us a gun of our own as we stood in our own shooting area with a target in the shape of a man set up in front of us.
I placed both hands on the gun taking a deep breath to settle myself before pulling the trigger when I had my eye on the target.
The bullet shot out of the gun, but not before the gun kicked me back slightly. The bullet flew through the air hitting the man but not in the place I wanted it to hit.
“That was pretty good Justin,” Khalil complimented.
*Selena’s POV*
“Why me?” I cried as I sat next to the toilet after throwing up my guts.
I finally pulled myself up and washed out my mouth before crawling back into bed getting as comfortable as I could get with two growing babies inside me.
It was times like this where I wish I could call up my mom and get her advice on. I could have her talk me though this pain I was feeling that was becoming unbearable.
Not knowing what else to do I called Pattie.
“Hey sweetie,” Patties sweet soothing voice said into the phone.
“Hi Pattie,” I said as another pain came into me.
“How are you feeling?” she asked.
“Like someone stabbed me in the hip,” I sighed letting a tear roll down my cheek.
“Where’s Justin?” she asked becoming more concerned.
“Out with the guys. He didn’t want to go but I forced him and now I’m wishing I didn’t because I’m in so much pain,” I cried.
Pattie opened began to say something when I felt something between my legs. I walked back over to the bathroom with the phone in my hand before checking to see what it was.
“Selena?” Pattie said after I hadn’t spoken for a while.
“I’m bleeding,” I said shortly.
“I’m on my way!” She yelled hanging up the phone as I stared at the red toilet paper.
“Please don’t let me lose these babies Lord,” I cried out with my hand folded in prayer. “Please lord. Please don’t take these babies from me.”

Short part I know but I have a big plan for the next part. Expect the unexpected, nothing is off limits.
