Part 16

*Selena's POV*

It had been 3 days since I stormed out of the hospital because Justin was being a prick. With all this extra time I had I was able to send a lot more time with my best friend.

"Tay, that sounds perfect. There's no reason to do it again. Really it was right on point. You hit the pocket perfectly," I said as Taylor finished listening to her recording.

"I don't know. I feel like ... Something missing," she said tapping her face with the end of a pencil.

I opened my mouth only to be cut off by my phone ringing for the millionth time today.

"Is that Justin again?" She asked.

I let out a fake laugh. "What?" I said dragging out the work. "PSHH no."

"Selena answer the poor boy. You should not be in a fight over me. I honestly couldn't care less if he likes me or not. I'm not worth the effort you are putting forth to ignore him," she said.

That was one of the many, MANY reasons I loved Taylor so much. She always put everyone before her and she didn't care what people thought about her.

"No he's fine. We are in the middle of something," I said shaking my head and turning off the volume on my phone before moving my attention back to her.

“I think I’m done for the day. I just need to sleep on it. Please, if you love me half as much as you say you do you will talk to Justin,” Taylor said as she began to pack up her purse.

I sighed and sat in front of the soundboard messing around with a random beat.

I felt my phone vibrate and I sighed and answered the phone.

“Hello?” I asked.

I heard Justin sigh. “Sel, I’m sorry. Please call me back.”

“Justin, I answered the phone,” I giggled lightly.

“Selena?? Is that really you?” He asked shocked.

“Yeah, Justin. Please don’t make me regret answering the phone.”

“Selena, I am so sorry. I was a jerk. I shouldn’t have done that. I just, I’m sorry,” he sighed.

“It’s fine,” I said trying to ignore the fact that he had really hurt my feelings.

“Do you want to come over to Scooter’s office? We started planning the benefit,” he said changing the subject.

“Okay. Do you want me to pick up some food on the way? It’s getting kind of late.”
