Jeon Jungkook and the N.E.W.T.'s (Jungkook x Harry Potter AU)

Rivalry

The four excitedly went back to the Great Hall with Jungkook leading the group. They were quick to jump at the correct landing before the staircases changed. As they were getting nearer to the Hall, many students started to swarm to and from to the place. Beyond the doors of the Hall, a glass container was laid with pieces of small parchment inside, with a quill and a bottle of ink beside it. Jungkook took a parchment and wrote his name on it. Jihoon, Somi, and Dahyun all watched him as he did. Afterwards, they went inside the Great Hall, where the Goblet stood at the very center of it, still reflecting the Hall in sapphire blue. Many students were gathered around it, watching those who were putting their names into it. Jungkook, Jihoon, Somi, and Dahyun walked slowly towards it.

As Jungkook was about to drop his name, he was shoved by someone that he was knocked over to the ground. He looked up to see that it was Lee Taeyong, a seventh year Slytherin and a known bully.

"Don't get your hopes up, Jeon!" spat Lee Taeyong. "The Goblet only chooses the best. You're not even close to the mediocre category."

Lee Taeyong's so-called friends, Flint and Bletchley, sneered at Jungkook, Somi, Jihoon, and Dahyun. Jungkook stood right back up and ignored them. Patting his robes clean, he made his way again towards the Goblet and dropped his name.

"You don't hold the power of the Goblet to decide who's worthy and who's not," Jungkook said, walking over to the Slytherin bully after putting his name in. "Oh, and before you drop your name in there, be informed that it only accepts parchment and not Galleons."

Jihoon, Somi, Dahyun, and all the other students who overheard the commotion could not suppress their amusement at Jungkook's clap back. Lee Taeyong and his lot merely scowled at them and proceeded to the Goblet as well to put their names in, deciding not to continue the word battle any longer.

Moments later, students from Beauxbatons entered the hall. The males' gazes were instantly averted to one particular beauty from the lot who also dropped her name into the Goblet. She had long, pale blonde hair with red lowlights that reached the small of her back. Her face was small and freckled. Her eyes stared cold yet inviting; her body flowed with grace as she walked out of the Hall afterwards. As soon as they were out of eyesight, the males started whispering to each other. Jihoon still stared with longing.

Shortly after the Beauxbatons moment, the doors opened again, revealing students from Durmstrang with Jackson Wang leading. Jungkook felt Somi move a bit behind him in either embarrassment or to take a more discreet look at Wang. Jihoon and Dahyun simply watched with admiration for the Seeker.

Wang looked smug after he dropped his name into the Goblet. Even Lee Taeyong looked like he actually had some respect for him.

As Wang proceeded to exit the Great Hall with his lot, he briefly glanced at Jungkook's direction and smiled lopsidedly at someone behind him. Jungkook turned his head and saw Somi with a surprised reaction.

"Did he just...?" Dahyun asked, just as surprised.

"He did not," Jihoon said.

"I d-don't know," Somi said nervously, shaking her head. "Let's just go back for now."

Somi walked with her head down further into the Great Hall. Jungkook grabbed her by the back of her robes and dragged her to the right way.

"Looks like we know what will put our Somi's wits to the test," Jungkook said.

"Somi, I know I've said Wang is 'the best', but, you better be careful getting involved with wizards like him," Jihoon warned.

"I think you're the real champion here!" Dahyun chirped, skipping beside Somi.
