With only a few days left before the Christmas holidays end, Jungkook, Jihoon, and Somi, squeezed all their remaining free time to do their homework. Loads of parchment scrolls laid on the table they used in the library. There were currently in the middle of a Muggle Studies essay, which was about Muggle communication technology and why they were more efficient than owl posts.

Somi and Jihoon were still not in the best of terms, and Jungkook could tell that they were merely tolerating each other's presence. Jihoon was in a foul mood after the Yule Ball ended a few nights ago, and he refused to talk about it to Jungkook. He almost felt guilty for having such a great time with Dahyun, and he could not help but resent Somi just a little bit for not telling them about Jackson Wang. However, he acted like none of it mattered to him for the sake of their friendship.

When classes resumed, Somi and Jihoon seemed to resume their normal treatment to each other as well. They came to Potions class walking in sync, with Jungkook trailing behind, relieved that he no longer had to endure the tension between them.

They were welcomed by a very inviting scent as they arrived at the Potions classroom. Every student that was already inside were watching a potion contained in a copper cauldron that was emitting a steam in spirals. Jungkook smelled new leather, butterbeer, freshly washed sheets, and a female perfume that was oddly familiar to him.

"What's that?" asked Jihoon, sniffing all around the classroom. "I smell every delicious dish we ever ate at the Great Hall. And, sh...shampoo..." He glanced at Somi and quickly looked away, his ears pink.

"Now, now!" said Professor Puckle loudly, startling everyone as she wasn't noticed by anyone when entered the classroom. "Gather around here please."

They all reluctantly left the table and walked over to their professor, who was stood behind her desk.

"Can any of you guess what potion is in there?" Professor Puckle asked. As expected, Somi was the first one to have her hand in the air.

"That's a love potion, Professor. I smell pages of a book—"

"Right you are!" Professor Puckle cut in. "That love potion is called Amortentia. It's the most powerful love potion of all. It smells differently to each person depending on what attracts them."

"Now you must know," she added, "that no matter how powerful this potion is, there no known potion that could induce real love. The Amortentia can only cause powerful infatuation and obsession."

They were asked to go to their respective seats and to open their Advanced Potion-Making textbook on the page where it said Love Potion Antidote.

"But of course," Professor Puckle said, clasping her hands together, "I cannot make you brew Amortentia in the school. It is prohibited by the headmistress! We shall brew the antidote instead."

Professor Puckle put a lid over the copper cauldron to stop the Amortentia from distracting them. Jungkook, however, was still confused as to why he smelled that particular female perfume. It was not the scent of Lee Jieun whenever he stood close to her; Lee Jieun's hair smelled fruity. This perfume, on the other hand, smelled like honey and flowers, something he felt like he knew, but couldn't name its bearer.

Focusing back on the class, he read the list of ingredients of the Love Potion Antidote and gathered everything that he needed—Wiggentree twigs, castor oil, and extract of Gurdyroot.

He added Wiggentree twigs in his pewter cauldron until the potion turned green. He stirred, waiting for it to turn orange as it said in the book. As he did so, the potion turned into different shades of blue. Breaking into a sweat, he continued stirring.
