The Deathly Hallows

Thankfully, Jungkook and everybody else slept undisturbed that night. Jungkook and Jihoon decided not to talk to Somi about the odd stone for the meantime—not when they were all too busy with schoolwork and Somi was losing her mind in the library.

He remembered that Firenze mentioned the dark aura around him was also seen on a young wizard who fought the Dark Lord. Did that powerful object have any connection to that wizard? What did the symbol on the stone mean?

Was it really the stone he referred to?

On Saturday morning, Somi and Dahyun were already at the Gryffindor table when Jungkook and Jihoon arrived for breakfast. They sat opposite them and quickly filled their plates with pancakes and cold cuts.

"Kook, I forgot about asking you if you've found anything odd yesterday!" Somi said. "So, did you?"

"I did, actually," Jungkook answered. "But I'll show you later. We have the whole day."

It was a weekend scheduled for Hogsmeade visit. Jungkook, Jihoon, Somi, and Dahyun all went straight to Honeydukes to shop for sweets to give as presents and as treats for themselves for the Christmas holidays. Jungkook bagged Lemon Sherbets, Chocolate Frogs, Fizzing Whizzbees, and Drooble's Best Blowing Gum. Jihoon bought quite a lot of Chocolate Frogs, a couple of Jelly Slugs, some Blood-flavored Lollipops, and Tooth-Splintering Strongmints. Somi's favorite Sugar Quills were on top of her to-buy list. She also bagged a few Honeydukes Best Chocolate, Chocolate Cauldrons, Toffees, and Chocolate Wands. Dahyun seemed to have a taste for mischief as her shopping bag were full of Pepper Imps, Exploding Bonbons, Fizzing Whizzbees, Peppermint Toads, and Cockroach Clusters.

"Wow, what are those for?" Jungkook asked, looking at Dahyun's bag of sweets.

"My supply has run out," Dahyun answered.

They headed to the Three Broomsticks for a butterbeer after their sweets shopping. The shop was almost out of seats when they entered, but luckily for them, they found an empty spot in the far corner. This particular area was favorable so they would not be easily overheard when they talk about Jungkook's discovery.

Except it wasn't empty. Seated on one of the chairs was Shannon Williams, reading a copy of The Quibbler. Her figure could not be seen from the entrance of the shop, hence why they thought it was unoccupied.

Somi, Jihoon, and Dahyun glanced at Jungkook as a way to ask him if it would be okay to be joined by Shannon, and Jungkook merely nodded and even sat beside her.

"Oh, are you alone?" Jungkook asked Shannon. He was quite ashamed that none of them even bothered to ask if she was with someone.

"Am I ever with someone?" Shannon dryly asked back, making Jungkook feel even more ashamed. Shannon had the knack of saying uncomfortable truths. While she was surely witty and collected, she never had friends that constantly surround her. Jungkook, Jihoon, Somi, and Dahyun were seemingly the only ones who could catch her drift.

"So, how have you been, Shannon?" Somi asked.

"I'm doing great. I like being around you," Shannon answered.

"Look," Jungkook said, shifting his body to face Shannon completely. "I'm about to tell you all something I don't want others to know. Can you keep a secret?"

"You don't have to worry. I have no one to ta—"

"Great!" Jungkook said, preventing another one of Shannon's unfiltered statements.

Jungkook took a sip of his butterbeer and cleared his throat before taking out the stone from his pocket and placing it at the center of the table.
