After lunch, they had Defence Against the Dark arts with Professor Terry Boot, who very much preferred to be addressed as 'Professor Terry', because he found 'Professor Boot' a bit funny. His classes were a favorite of many, and this was the class with the most N.E.W.T. students. Terry Boot had to take two sessions for he couldn't fit the number of his students in one schedule.

"This is the only class I'm looking forward to, actually," Jihoon said.

"I feel like Professor Terry would make this class even darker day by day. He really loves telling about dark stuff he battled 20 years ago," Somi said.

Terry Boot was a member of Dumbledore's Army that Hermione Granger-Weasley, Ron Weasley, and Harry Potter founded in 1995 to rebel against their then-Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor, Dolores Jane Umbridge, who refused to teach them defensive spells. Terry was very vocal about his admiration to Harry's skills, and stayed loyal to him until the present day. He was passionate about teaching and his students looked up to him a lot.

"Settle down, settle down," Professor Terry said as he entered the classroom while students were going to their seats noisily.

"The time has come to battle our own demons at last!" Professor Terry said happily.

"Enough of non-verbal spells for now! Today, we'll be practicing a spell so advanced and so difficult, that it is unusual for many wizards and witches to be able to conjure."

Somi shot her hand in the air.

"Yes, Ms. Douma?"

"Is this the Patronus Charm?" Somi asked.

"Five points to Gryffindor!" Professor Terry exclaimed. "Today's lesson is the Patronus Charm. It is a charm that will act as your guide and drive away Dementors. This is also the only known spell to fight against the Lethifold. Your Patronus can also be used to transmit messages to others. Now, everyone, please close your eyes!"

The students did as they were told. Jungkook had tried to do the Patronus Charm years before, but he could not conjure a corporeal one. Like the others, he shut his eyes and concentrated.

"With your eyes shut," Professor Terry said, "recall a happy memory. A very happy memory. Focus. Allow it to fill you in. Imagine yourself being in that happy memory again. Are you all doing it?"

Jungkook nodded and rest of the class mumbled a 'yes'. Jungkook did not have a hard time remembering a happy memory, as his life was filled with times with family and friends. He remembered the first time he did magic and the day he received his Hogwarts Acceptance letter. He reminisced on his first day in Hogwarts when his older friends Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Kim Namjoon, Park Jimin, and Kim Taehyung threw a little party for him in Hagrid's cabin (The treacle fudge didn't impress him very much, though). He remembered the first time Hagrid showed him a bowtruckle and introduced him to Buckbeak the Hippogriff—his favorite magical creature of all. He also looked back at the time he got accepted in the Gryffindor Quidditch Team as a Beater. He thought of the little things he enjoyed with Somi and Jihoon, such as eating good food at the Great Hall, hanging out by the lake, going on occasional nighttime quests, and visiting Hogsmeade. Lastly, he thought of Lee Jieun—her angelic face, her bright smile, and her sweet voice.

"Repeat after me," Professor Terry said after the long silence. "The incantation is Expecto Patronum."

"Expecto Patronum," the class softly repeated in chorus.

"Very well! Open your eyes, everybody," Professor Terry commanded. Jungkook opened his eyes and squinted and how bright suddenly everything looked. They must have had their eyes closed longer than he thought.
