I look out to the sea,
The sea where I belong.
Deep below, my Sisters’ plea,
Only I can hear the siren’s song.
They ask me to stop wishing,
Come back Sister
Kill the prince so I can continue living,
Come back Sister
I came on land to follow my heart,
Rose up to find love among the sands,
But though I did, he did not act his part,
He took another with his charming hands.
True love I could not find,
Everything I thought right was wrong,
A warning runs in my mind,
I’ve stayed far from home too long,
The waves call to me— swishing again,
A path of water made way for me,
But I won’t allow my heart to drown in vain,
Tonight is my last chance to be free,
Spread out alongside sea foam,
Tails splashed at the water,
The sea where magical creatures roam,
Now full of my Sisters’ panic; trying to save the Sea King’s youngest daughter.
But it’s no use,
I risked everything for nothing,
And yet, to give up I refuse,
Soon I‘d rather be part of the oceanic bling,
As inky tears spilled along the shore,
I know for my unrequited love,
I can’t ever go back to the water anymore,
I’ll always yearn more for him above.
Dark waves rolling towards me,
My Sisters’ voices now less strong,
I look out to the sea,
The sea where I belong.
