i was walking to my car to leave for school when i heard activity. i looked up to the dolans house and saw amber and ethan. they looked to be arguing but i wasn't so sure. i felt my jaw clinch and my fists balled up. wait what the fuck? i shook off my actions and turned to get into my car. i sped off down the street to the school, excited to get this morning off my mind. i got to the school and was already in a mood. when i got out of my car i saw ambers car pull up across the lot. ethan got out and amber followed. were they together again?

"hey baby." i felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist and i snapped out of my thoughts.

"wes, hey." i murmured.

"you okay?" he seemed concerned.

"perfect! wanna go?" i pointed to school. he nodded unsure and we began walking. he talked to me about a party this weekend to mark the beginning of the school year.

"but that's not something to celebrate." i argued. wes was trying to get me to go but i hated drinking.

"i know that's why there's a party. to make school more fun and bearable." he had a good point. i sighed and gave in. he celebrated while i fake pouted. we reached my locker and he laughed.

"well looks like we're going to a par-tay!" he exclaimed. i giggled and blushed at the embarrassing boy next to me. he looked down at me and leaned in for a simple peck. "i have to go because my class is across the school, butttt, i'll see you at lunch?" he held onto my waist.

"sure." i smiled. he kissed my cheek and took off down the hall. i heard whistling and whirled around to see grayson, sawyer, and ethan.

"wowza!" sawyer joked. i blushed and turned back to my locker.

"i'm so proud of my lil' syd." grayson pinched my cheeks. i rolled my eyes and grabbed my last book and shut my locker. i turned to see them three circled around me so i leaned on my locker. i glanced at ethan, he seemed irritated. i decided to avert the attention to him and amber.

"so eth, you and amber?" i smirked and he rolled his eyes. gray and sawyer laughed and slapped his arm.

"she wanted me back. what can i say?" he shrugged.

"so, carson is having a party friday night. i expect you all to attend. no questions asked." gray stated. we all agreed that we'd go and i started to walk.

"gotta go to class, have a good first day losers!" they said goodbye and we parted ways.

i awoke to grayson slapping me with a pillow.

"first day of junior year bitch! get up mom made waffles." i groaned and breathed in, the smell of waffles flooded me. i immediately got up and showered quickly and got dressed. i rushed downstairs to get some food so i could leave.

"morning honey." my mom said. she handed me a plate and i took a seat next to grayson.

"alright ma i gotta go, love you." grayson said kissing her cheek and leaving. i followed him about 10 minutes later. when i was leaving the house i saw ambers car in front of my house. she was leaning against it with her arms crossed.

"oh, ethan. lucky me to catch you." she flirted. i rolled my eyes.

"amber we're over, you wanted to break up remember?" she scoffed at my remark.

"and?" she picked at her nails.

"and it was because you thought me and syd were dating. which we're not by the way." i was getting agitated at this point.
