"hey, brendon, wait up!" ryan shouted, chasing after the boy, a large cardboard box in his hand.
"you're just slow!"
"shut up!"
brendon and ryan both ran to the front door of their newly purchased tri-level house, their arms packed with big cardboard boxes including clothes, knick knacks, decor, etc.
"we're finally FREE!" brendon screamed once he entered the house.
"it feels great to not have school and to not be stuck under my parents' roof."
"and, we're starting that band with spencer and jon! that's gonna be sick."
"damn right it is," said ryan. "but i need to start working on some songs."
"we can do that after our date, ry. it's really important!"
"yeah, yeah. i don't get what's so important about going to andiamo's on a thursday night."
"hey, it took me three weeks to get this reservation! stuff it."
it was ryan and brendon's two year anniversary, and brendon wanted to make sure it was going to perfect.
ryan didn't know this (well, that's what brendon thinks), but brendon was going to propose to him tonight. he had the ring in his jacket pocket, ready to go.
they drove to the restaurant, the ride being peaceful and quiet. but, ryan was exploding with excitement. he may or may not have seen the ring box in brendon's underwear drawer.
once the two boys arrived, they got out of the car and walked into the exquisite restaurant.
brendon walked up to the hostess and said, "i have a reservation, last name urie?"
"yes, right here. you're brendon, i'm guessing?"
"yup."
"follow me."
she led them to a booth near the middle of the establishment. it was in a nice, formal, fancy-looking area.
"your server will be with you shortly."
brendon and ryan sat down, brendon feeling extremely jittery.
ryan was trying to remain calm. brendon was going to propose to him any minute.
"so, this place is nice."
"and you didn't believe me when i said it took three weeks to get a reservation."
"okay, smart ass," ryan started. "but, it is busy as hell."
"maybe we're just so popular that we bring everyone to where we are."
"popularity? that's too unrealistic. blocked."
"this is real life, ryan, you can't really block me. you need a fucking break from tumblr, jesus christ."
"whatever."
"but, i do have something to ask you."
fuck, ryan thought. it's time.
brendon got down on one knee and ryan's mouth fell wide open.
"ryan ross, will you marry me?"
he pulled the ring box out and opened it, exposing a silver-banded ring, the gem being an amethyst laced with a bit of gold.
"yes, i'll marry you, you fucking loser!"
ryan leapt up from his seat and wrapped his arms around brendon.
"i love you."
"i love you too, brendon."
"isn't it so fucking weird that we started out as like, friends with benefits?"
"now look at us, we're getting married!"
ryan connected his lips to brendon's and didn't even care what the people in the restaurant were going to say. he never wanted this moment to end.
but, life was good, especially with brendon urie being a part of it forever.

but, other than that, it's goodbye.
until next time!
