Chapter Eleven: The Christmas Concert

Hey again guys! I just thought I would update again, since I didn't update at all when I was on vacation.

*Katniss' POV*

"Alright ladies. Settle down," Ms. Portia says, clapping her hands as she speaks.

We all quiet down and turn our attention to her. "We've all worked very hard these past few months and I'm very proud of each and one of you for doing so. Our concert is tomorrow night and I just know that you all are going to perform beautifully."

I look at Annie and smile. "Since tomorrow is Saturday, I need you ladies to be here at exactly 3pm all dressed up. Got it?" We all nod.

"The concert starts at 6pm. The auditorium doors open at 5:30, so please tell your parents that. I also need all of you to get some rest! No eating any sort of cheese tomorrow, it causes phlem which isn't good for your singing voice. Also drink room temperature water, it helps loosen your vocal chords. That's all the announcements I have. Any questions?"

The room stays silent. She smiles and says,"Very well. Your dismissed. See you all tomorrow."

I gather my stuff and walk towards Annie. "Ready to go?" She slides her bag on her shoulder and nods.

We leave the classroom and walk out of the school. We walk to the parking lot and wait for the rest of the group to come.

"What are you gonna wear tomorrow for the concert?" Annie asks me. I shrug my shoulders. "I don't know yet. Maybe when we get to my house you can help me find an outfit."

She squealed and clapped her hands rapidly. "Yes! I would love to!"

"What is my beautiful girlfriend happy about?" I hear Finnick's voice from a short distance. I look at him and say,"She's just happy because I'm letting her dress me up for the concert tomorrow."

"Ah, that's right. The concert. You two ladies excited?"

Annie smiled. "Finny, of course we are! I cannot wait for you guys to hear Katniss sing! She sings amazing!"

"Yeah I know that. I've heard her sing before," Gale says next to me. I knit my eyebrows. "When have you heard me sing?"

"A few years ago. When we went hunting together. I watched you sit by the lake as you sang a song that your father sang to you when you were younger. Well, that's what I remember you telling me."

"Oh." Was all I could think of to say.

"Hey Peeta, you going to the concert with us tomorrow?"

I look next to Finnick and I see Peeta standing there. "Oh, I forgot about that. Yeah, I'll be there."

I give him a small smile. "Where's Johanna?" I hear Annie ask. "She's in Guidance. She'll be here soon," Gale answers.

I nod and see Prim walking in my direction. She reaches the group and says,"Hey guys."
