CHAPTER 7: Summer Love

*Elena's Point of View*

I could smell the car. It smelled like gasoline. Its color was pink and it seemed to be a new car. When I realized, the car was right in front of me. It was only milliseconds away from hitting me when someone tightly grabbed my hand and dragged me with him. It happened very fast. I was already on the pavement when I took a look at the car. It was gone.

"Thank God..." I was gasping as I rose my view. A boy was on his knees. Blond and straight hair, blue eyes and well dressed.

"Are you okay?" He worriedly asked.

"Yeah... Thanks for saving me" I smiled.

"That's what family does" He stood up.

"Am I supposed to know you?" I sounded confused. I stood up with him.

"My name's Aaron" He grinned as he offered his hand for me to shake it. "Pleasure to meet you"

"Elena Williams" I grinned back. "You are a vampire too,right?"

"I am. Nancy's my maker" He pointed out.

"Oh you mean Jimmy's wife?" I shortly laughed.

"That'd be her" He said.

"Well Aaron, thank you again" I smiled at him. "I'm going to walk back home"

"I believe there's someone after you" He replied. "You shouldn't go on your own so let me walk you back home"

"It's not necessary" I giggled.

"I insist" He smirked.

I finally agreed. During our walking, I thought about the idea of someone going after me. It scared the shit out of me. Aaron was constantly speaking, but I didn't pay too much attention to him. I just would nod and smile. We got home. I knocked on the door.

"I live here" I said.

"I know" He happily replied. "I'm gonna say hi to Jess and Justin"

"Wait" I sounded curious. "Do you know them?"

"Of course" He laughed. "They are like folks to me"

Suddenly Jessica opened the door. She was wearing sportive clothes and a ponytail. She smiled as soon as she saw Aaron.

"Aaron!" She hugged him. "What are you doing here?"

"I stopped by because I have walked Elena home" He replied. "We need to have a word by the way"

"Guys I'm going to shower" I nervously said as I came in. I then headed upstairs while listening to the conversation.

*Jessica's Point of View*

"Come in Aaron" My face got worried. I left him space. "Tell me what happened"

"Someone tried to run over Elena with a car" Aaron sentenced.

"Any idea who that could be?" I worriedly asked.

"Not really, but B might have been after it" He sighed.

"Thanks for telling me" I grinned at him. "Do you want to have a blood bag?"

"I can't. I got stuff to do" He replied.

"Well thanks again Aaron" I smiled. "Send my best to Nancy and Jimmy"

"Will do!" He then left.

I closed the door and sighed. I couldn't let anything happen to my new family.

'I should check on Pablo' I thought to myself.

I went upstairs and heard Elena shower. I went straight to Pablo's dorm. I opened the door and he was laid on his bed. He was wearing his earphones and was listening to Justin. He then turned to me and smiled at me. I smiled back at him and sat next to him. He then removed his earphones from his ears.
