CHAPTER 13: Too close

I opened my eyes. I looked around. I felt happiness inside me. I seemed Justin out on the untidied bed, but the search was a failure. He wasn't there any longer. Suddenly everything got darker and darker and I found myself naked in the middle of nowhere. It wasn't a place, it felt like emptiness. I tried to move but my legs wouldn't respond. I was scared. Suddenly I saw a big man. He creeped me out. He started walking towards me. He was fit and had dark hair. He was wearing ancient clothes and he looked quite serious.

"You... Are... Mine" His voice was alike to Justin's. I whipped myself with both my arms.

His fangs then showed up and used his vamp speed. And I woke up.

I woke up gasping. I looked around. It was daytime already. I sighed with relief. I turned to the other side of the bed but Justin wasn't there. I recalled everything that happened last night. I slept with Justin. Again. I was feeling so guilty; he was cheating on Jess with me! I was only wearing my pink underwear. I opened the window and looked outside. It was quiet. I headed to the bathroom to shower. While I was having the shower, I spotted a huge bruise on my hand. As soon as I saw it, it quickly healed. I was too confused. That nightmare and the feeling I had in the mansion's basement.

'It's really weird' I thought to myself. There were tons of question going across my mind and no answers to them. I made an order of everything I had to clear out, starting with Justin. I was falling head over heels for him and there was no remedy about it. He was married to Jessica and cheating on her with me. I felt so miserable for a moment, but it was the way it was and i wasn't about to regret what had happened between me and him. I came out of the bath to get dressed properly for rescuing Jenna. I barely knew her but I was commended to help as much as possible.

When I got out of my dorm I locked my door and went downstairs to the hall reception. I specifically put loose clothes on due to the situation of getting involved into a fight or something. I explored the hall. It was huge and welcoming. I couldn't avoid smiling as I was exploring every single detail of it. Suddenly I heard familiar voices around. They were Jessica's and Pablo's. I instantly got nervous and turned around. Jessica gazed at me and headed outside. I was shocked.

'How has she found it out?' I expected the worst and it was all represented in my face. Pablo put a hand on my shoulder.

" Don't worry, she has woken up in such a terrible mood" he lowered the volume of his voice. "Girly problems . Go and talk to her, I'm sure you'll perfectly know how to advice her"

"I don't think so..." I gulped

"Don't be so shy and help her" Pablo smiled and he pushed me as a joke. I fell down the ground. He had been so damn strong since he became a vampire. I stood up and glazed at him for a second.

"Fine" I angrily whispered.

I walked out of the hotel and there she was. She was ringing someone. The idea of backing off came across my mind, but then I thought that I should be responsible for my action. I took a deep breath and walked towards her. I put my hand on her shoulder.

"Hey Jessica, everything alright?" I nervously asked. "You looked angry earlier"

"Not actually" she turned to me. "It's about Justin"

"I can explain" I said as I was about to break into tears.

"Explain what?" Jessica sounded confused. "Justin left earlier and I think he's up to something behind my back"

"Oh..." That tasted like glory in my ears. "Nothing... Any clue of where he can be?"

"I've called him a few times now but he's not answering" Jessica put both her arms on the thigh. "I'm concerned about him..."

"We should've gone meet up with jimmy to plan today's attack" I pointed out.

Suddenly Nancy and Anny walked out of the hotel along with Pablo and Aaron following them. They went straight to us.

"Lovely day, isn't it?" Nancy amazingly said as she looked up the sky. "Where are Justin and Jimmy? They told me to meet them here"

As Nancy was talking to Jess, Aaron came closer to me and smacked my ass. At first I wanted to slap him, but then I recalled that he blackmailed me into being his fake girlfriend. I forced my facial expression into smiling.

"You guys look very cute together" Annie smirked.

'I wish I could tell you the truth Ann' I thought to myself.

"Guys! Come and listen to this carefully" Jessica yelled. We immediately walked up to them.

"We are going to give each of you the instructions of our plan" Jessica explained. "Justin just texted me saying that he and jimmy are currently negotiating with the leader of the wolves, Markus"

"To make this plan work, I'm gonna need you to divide into groups. The first one will be leaded by Jessica and the second one by me" Nancy told us.

"Since the only one capable of doing magic here is Annie, I'll require her in my group" Jessica pointed out. " My group is gonna be the first one to enter the palace through the backyard so I need the strongest vampires here"

"Me and Elena sign up for your group" Aaron smirked.

"I'm not that strong honey" I made an excuse.

"Sure you are" he stared at me. I finally had to accept.

"Pablo and I will enter the palace as workers" Nancy happily sentenced.

We planned out the last moves and headed to our cars. Before getting into the car, Pablo and I hugged in case of seeing each other for the last time. During the ride, Jess would give us blood bags and make conversation for us to be less nervous. I was feeling more guilty rather than nervous. Jessica was such woman and she didn't deserve to be cheated on. I sighed and looked out of the window. The scenery was getting more European. I guessed that the palace was located in the north of the city. After 30 minutes, we parked in the middle of the road and then Jessica phoned Nancy.

"Are you already there?" Jessica asked.

"We are going to walk in. You know what to do. Bye" I could hear Nancy's voice on the phone.

Jessica hanged up.

"Time to go ,kids" Jessica's expression became serious.

I had a lot to think about, but that wasn't the time for it. I needed to survive this and sort everything out.

"Let's do it!" I said deterninedly.

Author: I'm terribly sorry for the delay. I was busy enjoying the rest of the summer and getting back to school. This year is my senior year. Therefore, I need to be focused on my studies more than ever. From now on, I'll try to weekly upload. You guys might get surprised by me uploading twice a week! Who knows...
