XVII.

"can i take this blind fold off yet?" i anxiously ask, it felt like i was being led to my death bed. zach's grip on my shoulders tightened.

"nooo kinslee! not yet." he whined, to which i returned with a huff. "you only got a little bit more." he reassured me, his grip loosening only slightly.

"why did jack put you in charge of leading me?" i whined. "i trust you the least out of you four to not kill me." zach stopped immediately in his tracks, causing him to jerk me to a halt. i groaned and reached up to rub my shoulder.

"kinslee rose i am quite offended." you could hear the bitterness in his voice. i imagined the shocked look on his face which caused me to giggle. a gasp escaped from his lips. "im being serious! why are you laughing?" he stomped his foot on the ground and removed his arms from my shoulders, i'm assuming so he could cross them and pout.

"i just thought of the look on your face and it made me laugh." i managed to choke out in between my giggle fits. i head zach let out a soft groan.

"how rude. i should purposely run you into a big rock." he muttered under his breath, very quietly. now it was my term to gasp.

"do it herron and i'll replace your gel with nair." he quietly repositioned his hands back on my shoulders and pushed me along. "that's what i thought pretty boy." the rest of the walk was quiet, only due to the fact that i threatened him. he quit walking, which caused me to jerk to a stop once again. "zachary, you have to start giving me some warning." i whined, rubbing my shoulders again.

"well, we're here. don't take your blindfold off yet though!" zach yelled, i heard his heavy footsteps as he was running away. it got quiet again, leaving me to wonder what jack had planned this time. "okay take it off kinsleeee." zach called out. i reached behind my head and undid the knot in zach's bandana. i pulled it away from my eyes and balled it in my hand. i took a look around, astonished by what the boys had done. rose petals led up the two guard rails and beyond. zach was leaning against the left guard rail, a sunflower in his hand. he motioned me over. "my lady." he extended his arm, handing me the sunflower. around the stem there was a note tied to it with a golden ribbon. i flipped the note card around.

freshman year was the very first time i laid my eyes on you. you captured my attention from the very start. i knew i had to make you mine. i was so afraid to talk to you, but i worked up the courage once i saw you were in my fifth period. you were sitting alone and i nervously walked up to you and asked you if the seat next to you was taken. you stumbled over the words you muttered, a light pink flushed across your perfect, adorable cheeks. you moved your stuff over to your side of the table and patted the seat, sending me a shy smile. from that very day, i knew i wanted you and you only.

i raised my hand to my mouth as tears threatened to spill. i looked up at zach and he had the biggest grin on his face.

"go on, there's more in store for you." i nodded at him, and moved myself forward. i looked at the ground, taking in the scattered rose petals. everyday with jack was a dream and i knew from the very start i wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.

the next boy was jonah. his eyes and smile shined bright as he reached out, handing me my next sunflower. again, there was another notecard attached with yellow ribbon. i flipped the notecard around, and read the yellow cursive.

the next few weeks were some of the best days of my life. we spent every free minute we had together. from the froyo dates to watching the sunset and gazing at the stars at our tree, i remember it all pretty girl. i wanted and needed to spend every minute with you, i couldn't get enough of you.

a smile crept across my lips and i clutched the sunflower to my chest, closing my eyes. jonah slightly coughed, catching my attention.

"jack's waiting for you at the top. get through the rest of us and go see your prince charming." i smiled at him.

"thank you jonah bear." i mumbled, quickly hugging him. he nodded, sending me off on my way.

i stumbled upon corbyn next.
"come get er, kinny." was what he said when i was in earshot. i giggled at him, removing the flower from his grasp.

for four years, i wanted to make you mine. i've never had the courage to do so. you left me in awe every time i saw you, you are and always will be the most beautiful girl to me.

i grinned as i put it in my other hand with the rest of the flowers. i looked up to corbyn as he shooed me away.

"noted, corbitch." i called out, as i walked away. i turned my head and blew him a kiss as i saw him flipping me off. i giggled and shook my head, and made my way up the path. daniel was the final boy i had to stop and greet before i had to make my way to jack. daniel embraced me in a hug and handed me the flower as we parted. "i love you little sis." he whispered, his tooth gap showing loud and proud.

"i love you too dani." i quickly muttered, eager to see what was written on this note card.

loving you endlessly was by far one of the best things i've ever gone through. never in a million years did i think that in the end it would be you, but i hoped and prayed to god every night that you would be the one.

a tear slipped down my cheek as my heart grew warm. never has a boy done something this sweet and thoughtful for me. jack is the one i want, forever and always.

i made my way up to the top of the hill. you could see the pretty city lights as the sun was setting around us. i looked straight forward, taking in the most breath taking view. jack avery was wearing black ripped jeans and a black long sleeved shirt. his curls were wildly beautiful today. his gorgeous, white smile was plastered on his face, causing his cute little wrinkles under his eyes to be present. his hands held 8 more flowers, yellow and stunning. a ring of rose petals surrounded his feet.

"why don't you look like a full course meal there mr. avery." i announced shooting him a grin.
