Jimin sighed as Taehyung got the systems back up, converting each computer screen to a camera inside multiple different cells, as to find Jungkook's cell easier.
They couldn't find Jin either. Or Namjoon. Or that warden. And someone deactivated the bomb strapped to Jin. So far, Jimin pressed the detonator at least twenty times, only to get nothing.
However, he knew the bombs around the prison were still active. However, Taehyung had the detonator for that, and wouldn't let Jimin place his hands on it.
"I couldn't find Jungkook anywhere." Taehyung stretched with a small groan as he searched through the last cell. "He's not here."
"Maybe he transferred, check the files," Jimin frowned as he leaned back in his chair. "I have a fucking migraine, do we have any medicine?"
"Uh, I don't think so-" Taehyung muttered as he typed in a few characters.
"Fucking awesome," Jimin growled.
There was a tense silence between the two before Taehyung sighed. "There's nothing about him here." He turned to Jimin. "What now?"
Jimin ran a hand through his silver hair, groaning.
"I feel... the detective is at fault, here. Who else would hide Jungkook from me?" Jimin sighed. "Seriously..." Jimin reached over and grabbed his phone. "Look for that Namjoon fella's file. And give me his number."
A few more clicks and Taehyung read out Namjoon's number, Jimin calling the detective.
"Hello?" A deep voice questioned after a few rings. "Who's this?"
"Oh hey, Namjoonie!" Jimin chirped, swiveling in his office chair. "It's me, Jimin, your friend. Remember me?"
"What the fuck do you want?" Namjoon hissed.
"Nothing. Except for all information you have on Jungkook. Or Jungkook himself. Either one will do," Jimin hummed.
"And what makes you think we'll give you any of those easily?"
"Oh, I didn't think you'll give it up. I'm approaching you with a proposition," Jimin informed.
There was a tedious pause, and a quiet "Namjoon?" In the background.
"Fine, what is it?"
"Yoongi and J-Hope for Jungkook," Jimin replied.
"No," Namjoon replied.
"Why not? It's a two for one deal! I should be the one saying no, considering I'm losing two," Jimin explained.
"And you'll have Jungkook."
"Yeah, but you'll have your friend back and you can arrest one of the best hitmen in LA. You'll be named a hero. Can't you hear it? Your chief, patting you on the back- and mind you, he always underestimated you- saying 'Good job Namjoon! Soon you'll be promoted to Lieutenant!' Doesn't that sound formidable?" There was another pause. "Look, I'm not trying to rip you off or anything. Hell, I'm the one being ripped off. But all I want is Jungkook. Nothing else. And following this, we can all return to LA. And the best part? No one has to know! How awesome is that? Now, will you or won't you?"
"No- No way," Namjoon sighed.
"Really? Going once," Jimin started.
"Going twice."
"Last chance-"
"Fine!" Namjoon exclaimed. "Deal!"
"Oh good! I was afraid I had to kill Yoongi and Jin just for you to say yes. But meet me in Texas. I'll text you the details. And don't you dare request any backup," With that Jimin hung up.
"What are you doing?" Taehyung eyed Jimin who smiled. "You're giving up J-Hope and Yoongi?"
"Nope," Jimin laughed, pressing his phone close to his ear once more.
A rough "what?" sounded from the phone, Jimin chuckling.
"Hoseokah, can you do me a favor?" Jimin asked. "Kill Yoongi for me will you? We're done here. And I'll pay you. Texas, meet me in a warehouse. I'll send you the address." He hung up, lunging forward to give Taehyung an unexpected hug.
"Jimin! What the fuck are you thinking?" Taehyung exclaimed as Jimin pulled back.
"Alright listen close," He giggled, brushing his silver locks out of the way. "I've made a deal with that detective. Hoseok and Yoongi for Jungkook-"
"You're giving them up?" Taehyung raised an eyebrow.
"No- Well, Hoseok yes. Yoongi will be busy six feet underground," Jimin explained as he sent the addresses to Namjoon and Hoseok. "I'm selling Hoseok out, that's what I'm doing. I don't have to pay him since he'll be arrested, I'll have my Jungkookie back and we're returning to LA."
"Right," Taehyung nodded but frowned. "But why kill Yoongi? He's harmless."
"Well, he knows too much about me. He'll sell me out to the cops. And never trust the cops," Jimin hummed, throwing his phone on the bed. "I can't wait to return to LA. Maybe we should return to Korea? What do you think Tae?" Jimin bubbled.
Taehyung replied with a small smile that dropped almost immediately. "I think that sounds great, Jimin."
Jimin shot up. "Tae, tell the others to pack their shit. We're leaving tonight!" He gave Taehyung one of the brightest smiles he's seen in years. It somewhat also brought a smile to his face.
Jimin however, couldn't stop pondering about Jungkook. Jungkook must miss him after all the unnecessary shit he went through right? Jimin knew he was an ass for letting Jungkook rob a store by himself. Jungkook didn't have to go through that if Jimin understood better.
Of course, Jimin wouldn't let anyone touch Jungkook again after this.
He couldn't wait to show Jungkook how to kill cops.
