"Min, Yoongi," Jin answered as the receptionist typed in a few characters.

"Right, room 482," The receptionist handed Namjoon and Jin bracelets. His bright smile, without missing a beat, turned to a frown, furrowing his eyebrows. "I heard what happened to him. I'm glad you found him," he nodded to Namjoon before turning back to Jin. "I hope he gets better soon."

"Thank you," Jin nodded, picking up the small vase of flowers he settled on the desk. Namjoon thanked the man before walking to the elevator.

"Jin," Namjoon mumbled once the two entered the elevator. "Are you sure it's a good idea to visit Yoongi now? Should we visit him right after he wakes up from a traumatic experience?"

"Well, if you don't feel comfortable, Joon, we could- we could always come back," Jin replied in a quiet voice.

"No- No, I feel comfortable about this situation. I'm just asking if Yoongi will feel the same way?" Namjoon explained. "Look, we both established that Yoongi is sick. Stockholm syndrome, right? He's not with Hoseok now and I don't know how he'll react to that and us."

Jin nodded, pressing his lips into a tight line.

"I don't want him to feel overwhelmed. Especially with what happened between us the last time we encountered each other," Namjoon stated, exiting the elevator as it parted with a quiet ding. "Hell, I doubt he even wants to continue as an officer."

Jin discovered Yoongi's room as Namjoon rambled on with his anxieties and worries, Jin stopping in front of the door.

"Jin, what's wrong?" Namjoon asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"What if you're right? Is this really a bright idea, Joon?" Jin asked. "Yoongi's been ripped away from a person he's mentally attached to its- its... I don't know... Will he even be happy to see us? To see me? I've lied to him for most of the years we've known each other and I even criticized his position as an officer. I didn't apologize and..." Jin sighed, shutting his eyes as his grip of the glass vase tightened. "When I open this door, we'll both see someone who's not Yoongi. He's too broken, he can't be repaired, if he even wants to be. Are we ready to even encounter that?" Jin faced Namjoon. "We don't know what'll happen and that scares me. All my life, I've just thought about my decisions when consequences arrive, most if not all were horrible. And... I don't know how this'll turn out Joon, I don't know how to respond to Yoongi. I don't know how to cope with Yoongi's recent mental illness... And I'm... afraid..."

"Whatever happens, I'm here okay?" Namjoon placed his hands on Jin's cheeks, meeting Jin's worried eyes. "If Yoongi rejects us, you can spend all your tears with me. You could spend all your anger on me, hell, I'll even give up my position as a detective to be your partner. Just know I won't leave you, okay?"

Jin brought himself to smile, nodding at Namjoon. "Okay."

Namjoon places a light kiss on Jin's forehead, gripping the door handle and opening the door for the older.

Yoongi was still asleep, which, at least postponed the inevitable consequences.

After Jin placed the vase on the nightstand, he brought sat on the chair next to Namjoon, by the doorway.

They waited for at least five minutes, however, to Jin it felt like centuries. Every sound from the heart monitor felt like an earthquake, every breath Jin took felt choking.

And when Yoongi opened his eyes, time had stopped.

Yoongi glanced around the room, eyes landing on Jin and Namjoon with a steady gaze.

"I heard what you guys talking outside." Jin frowned, glancing over at a calm and still Namjoon.

"What d'you hear?" Jin eventually asked, in an effort to break the tedious silence that settled between them.

"Everything," Yoongi murmured, sitting up but hissing in pain as a headache made itself known. "What happened, anyway?"

"Well, uh..." Namjoon started. "You called me. We found you alone in a motel room and passed out on the floor. The doctors said you passed out from starvation, dehydration and sleep deprivation? Did Hoseok-" Jin jabbed Namjoon's side with his elbow.

"Hoseok-" Yoongi's eyebrows furrowed. "Where is he?"

Jin frowned, nodding. "We... don't know," Jin mumbled. "We tried searching the area, and for evidence where he might be but we found nothing."

"He's gone...?" Yoongi asked.

"For now, yes. Until we conduct further investigation, he's gone," Namjoon explained. Yoongi bit his bottom lip, staring at his clenched hands that settled on his lap.

"Do you really think... Do you hate me, Jin?"

The question hit Jin hard, eyes widening and jaw tightening. Namjoon patted his shoulder, standing and heading outside to give the two partners their well deserved and needed space.

As the door clicked behind him, Jin stared at the floor, response still unknown.

"I- I don't hate you," Jin answered. "It may seem like it, with how I've been acting and my responses, but... I wouldn't go as far and say that I hate you, Yoongi."

"Do I still even deserve to be here with you two?' Yoongi let out a harsh exasperated sigh, tears dripping down his cheeks."I'm a fucking mess. Like you said earlier, I have a mental illness, I'm so fucked up in the head!" Yoongi wept, running a bandaged hand through his bleached hair."

"You're not-"

"Jin, I don't know if you could understand but, I've made the worst decisions in the history of mankind. Of course, I fucking fell in love with Hoseok. I gave up everything I had for him. I traded you for him, I fucking almost shot you! And I don't even have the tendency to apologize it's-" Yoongi sighed, wiping away his tears. "It's just... wrong..."

Jin stood from his seat, heading to Yoongi's bed and standing next to it. He hunched over, wrapping his arms around his partner who hesitantly returned the embrace.

"I made mistakes too, Yoongi, you're not the only one. And, of course, Namjoon didn't take them well either. We had multiple fights, but soon, he came to forgive me. This all takes time, Yoongi." Jin pulled away, holding Yoongi's shoulders. "I know almost shooting me is something that I can't overlook just like that, and I won't. I want you to know I'll forgive you in time. I just need a short break- Hell, we all need to."

Yoongi nodded, in a way, but his frown never faltered.

"And- And this sickness you have, I don't want to rush you Yoongi. I want to support you, with whatever decision you have. If you want to seek help, or to just let it pass, I'll be here."

"What if... What if I want none of that?" Yoongi murmured.

"Then... I won't approve, however, I won't leave your side. We're partners remember? Partners since high school until the end, I won't leave you just because of some fight."

Jin gave Yoongi a crooked smile who nodded, pulling Jin into another hug.

"Thank you, hyung," Yoongi mumbled. "I- I don't know what I'll do without you."

"I just care too much, okay?" Jin sighed. "I just want you to be happy, make better choices than me." He smiled at Yoongi ruffling his partner's already messy hair. "Get rest okay? Joon-ah and I will come back later on in the evening."

Yoongi gave Jin a sad smile before nodding, watching as Jin gave him a small wave before leaving.
