Self Value

One thing that I- and many other people- struggle with is seeing your self value and embracing it. This kind of goes along with the chapter called, 'Be Different'. Harder than it sounds, right? I've gotten way better with this over the years, and I've noticed that the more I focus on my talents, abilities, and beauty, the harder it is to take in what those demons in my head say. I know all of us deal with that. That horrible thing called 'self consciousness'.

It's a monster. It feeds you lies until that's all your mind is full of. You can't let that happen to yourself. Even if other people tease and mock, you can get through it, trust me, I know.

Instead, find ways to make yourself feel as beautiful and unique as you really are. You can spend time with people who are kind and honest, they won't tease you. You can challenge yourself that every time you give a complaint about yourself, give three compliments. You can use your talents and set them free! Whether it's playing an instrument, singing, athletic skill, acting, drawing, writing, WHATEVER it is, it can bring your confidence and self-value up so much more than you'd imagine. Before I got Wattpad, I was scared. Scared to show people my drawings, scared to throw my stories out into the world, scared to give my opinion.

Now I know that it's okay. Seeing what you guys say, vote, or even the unknown readers, helped me to realize that I can amuse or help others. I love you all so much!

On that note, another thing you can do is remind yourself that people love you. You may not believe it, but you'd be surprised with the truth.

The thing is, there is only one perfect person who has ever lived out of EVERYONE who ever existed. And that is Jesus. He loves you. And my point is, nobody else is or ever will be 100% perfect. You can't view others as perfect and yourself as nothing but dirt. Instead, see everyone as equals. Nobody is better than you, but nobody is worse. We are all loved the same.

You can't let the demons in your head win. Instead, break them down to nothing. Don't believe the lies. Know the truth. You are on this planet for a reason, and you must stay strong through the obstacles that'll come in your path.
