chapter 24

Ohm fell in the water and everyone ran over to help him. The water turned to a grey color and everyone looked over to Brock. The evil smile on his face made everyone not want to be near him.

He got to the edge and got in. He swam over to Ohm and dragged him down to the bottom. Everyone saw what he did and they started panicking when they saw Brock not letting Ohm come to the top.

Ohm and Brock where fighting, Brock had the upper hand. He knew how to swim, Ohm didnt. His tail thrashed around as he tried to swim, he never swam with both legs together.

Brock didn't have to do anything. All he had to do was not let Ohm grab him. Ohm pushed off the bottom and he went up a bit, but not a lot.

There was a slash from the top and Brock looked up to see Tyler. He smirked and went after him as well. Tyler wasn't going to fight Brock so he punched him in the temple and Brock was knocked out.

Hitting someone there didn't take a lot of force and was simple. While Brock floated to the bottom, Tyler grabbed Ohm and took him to the top. Ohm gasped slightly and Tyler helped Ohm out of the water.

Ohm rolled over on his back and it wasn't even a second until he was joined by a hug. He looked up and saw Bryce. He wrapped his arms around Bryce and hugged him back.

While everyone was looking at ohm and taking in his new details. They didn't notice that the clouds had moved a bit and that the sky was showing. Tyler looked at the sky and noticed the big white circle.

He struggled to get out if the water and he looked down at Brock. His eyes widened when he saw that Brock was awake and he was smiling.

" Help me!" Tyler yelled as he tried to get out of the water, the black ropes wrapped around his tail and started to pull him under. The others grabbed his arms and started to pull him out, but the more they pulled, the more the more the ropes covered Tyler's body.

" Shit he's slipping!" Del yelled as he tried to get a better grip on Tyler. Tyler was tugged down and everyone lost their grips on him. He fell in the water and was dragged down. The ropes took no time in covering Tyler's body as he struggled more.

The group at the top watched as Tyler was covered. Marcel couldn't do anything and the others didn't know what to do. Mini ran from the group and grabbed the gardening scissors. He dove into the water and went straight to Tyler.

The goggles helped him also see Brock and some of the ropes forming beside him.

He got to Tyler and started to cut the ropes. Most of them just fell and disappeared into nothing. The more he cut, the more he could see Tyler's face. The ropes had made black lines on his face and on his upper body. He continued to cut and got his tail free.

Mini looked up and back to Tyler. He needed more air. Mini kicked off the ground and went to the top. He filled his lungs up with air and went back under.

He went back and Tyler was starting to wake up. He noticed the opening and he started to break some of the ropes. Mini came back and saw that Tyler was helping. He smiled and he started cutting some of the ropes.

Before Mini could finish, he was grabbed and held back.

" Such a brave soul. Helping a merman fight against darkness is so brave." The deep voice said. Tyler looked over and saw that mini was in the hands of 'him'.

Mini started to pry at the ropes as he started to lose air. He tried to swim to the top while pulling in the ropes but nothing worked.

His mask fogged up and his lungs wanted to suck in the water and use it as air. 'He' turned around and saw that the human was about to die. He turned to him and let him go back to the top. With the ropes still around him.

Mini gasped for air and got the water out. He tried to swim but the ropes held him back. His legs were stuck together and he couldn't move them.

The ropes started to tug on him and he took another deep breath in. He was dragged back under and his vision was still blurred.

" What do you say. He can join us or he can die." The words alone to mini were terrifying. It was quite for a second and the blurted image of Tyler moved a bit.

Mini squinted his eyes and they widened when the ropes wrapped around him fully. He struggled to get away but the ropes tightened around him and the areas where water had been had been replaced by black goo.

The goo rises and Mini tried his best not to breath it in. He was covered in it now.

His goggles felt like they were lifted off his face and the goo got in his nose. He tried to move away from it but eventually his lungs ran out of air. 
His head felt light and everything was floating around. Mini had no idea he was breathing in the goo.

Tyler was released and he watched helplessly as Mini was in the ropes.

Once they moved away. Mini's facial features changed. His hair and eyes where black. Black tattoos covered his arms. And to finish it off, his black tail, Mini laid at the bottom of pool and the man chuckled.

" I would get to the top if I were you. I could change my mind on getting you as well. " Tyler hesitantly swam to the top and jumped out of the water.
